Hey new person, I was there last year. OC and WFF were 2-2 against each other with 0 GD. Your superstar was a non factor in all the games. She has a lost a step since last year and showed poorly at the OC practice. Mom had nothing to do with it. The club would have kept her if she added anything to their play. Just because you played for SB and made a few ODP Camps does not make you a shoe-in for the roster.

For someone who was there last year you really don't have a clue what happened. This was not a "come to practice and I'll take a look at you" . AH offered her a spot on the team, uniform was ordered etc. AH did not expect the reaction he got from the parents and girls.

If you were there last year you would know other former FCA players left when they heard this group of FCA players and parents were coming over.

Now I do agree it's in everyone best interest not to mix those players and parents together again. The mom should have stayed at WFF but lets tell the truth about what really happened. If AH did not offer her a spot then why are they paying for the uniform that was ordered? Plus I have seen the text dating back to last year asking her to leave WFF and come to OC.

We do agree more training is required for all. We believe those GB /CM teams should get 4 days. All other teams should also get minimum 3 days and 4th optional for either skills or SAQ (based on team level evaluation)
We also believe Boys and Girls should be treated equally for training opportunities.

What OCYS has done:
1. cut training to each and everyone in the club- compared to what we used to get at EOS, CFU, Kraze/Krush, FCA....probably every club.
2. FEEs have been increased
3. League costs and coaches league game costs are transferred to team accounts
4. Records show they WILL NOT pick from PERPLE OR any lower teams for ECNL or DA
- that is because they effectively destroyed those kids growth potential by denying training opportunities

Then few teams under SELECT Highly PAID Coaches are looking good by showing 3 days training compared to other teams 2 days. Reality is they have reduced from 4 days to 3 for few and
reduced 4 days to 2 for every other team at same level!

There may be a couple of teams whose coach has scheduled a 3rd practice but those are few and far between. Older teams will be on break starting sometime in October till January or February when High School is over. During that time they are still expected to compete in Showcase and other tournaments. And please no one come on here and tell us how great high school soccer season and training is.

I filtered and sorted that list. It shows U-9 thru U-12 Boys purple teams (GB and CM) having 3 times per week practices.
All other teams have 2 practices, including Purple Girls teams at same age level.

This is just stirring the pot. What happened? Your kid not get picked for ECNL? Listen dad, I am at those practices and it is nothing like what you say. In fact, we just had a parent meeting and everyone was great. Honestly, do you think the parents of four kids are going to cause problems on a team of 15-players? This is not the little clubhouse known as FCA. These are the best of the best that come from all over the state to play. They don't have time for drama. They come to the fields ready to practice and the sessions are productive.

The other thing you do not take into account is that these are not 12-year old girls anymore. Most don't even want their parents around. There is no sideline club at practice. Most parents drop off or stay in their car. Some even use the trail to workout. So maybe you had drama when the parents were much more involved. Guess what? They aren't anymore and it had nothing to do with the coaches or the club. It was their own daughters that told them to get lost. ROFL.

OC Management said all the right things to the Paper. The reality is those men and others have sacrificed for the game and Orlando MLS. The owners benefit monetarily. Wishing these men all the best in the future.

Knowing OC the first poster is probably correct. OC will follow the same path as Chicago Fire. Average salary $36K One maybe two highly compensated players like KAKA the rest working a second job to survive.

No, the first poster has no idea what they are talking about. You sound a lot like him. The average 2014 salary for Chicago Fire players is $130k. The average among the the top 15 players, the ones that play the majority of the minutes, is $197k.

Dempsey 6 million along with another DP making 5 million skews the numbers. Remember rosters are only 30 players and under the new bargaining agreement it looks like rosters will drop to 25 players per team. Lowering the number of players increases salaries a small percent but lower opportunity by around 100.

That's why I provided the minimum, average and median 2014 guaranteed salaries - to show the effects of the DP salaries and to show a meaningful salary for the 'average' MLS player. The median guaranteed salary is over $90k. The average is over $207k, a far cry from the $36k claim.
