It is official the PDL team will finish in last place this year. This is quite the leap from a National Championship thatJA won and the final 4 finish he had in his first year with the OC 23s. The quality players have left this program and will not return. OC is using the younger guys and getting killed. Not sure how that is going to help the younger guys.

Oh and by the way this is not JA or anyone from FKK. I am a local soccer person who has been part of the soccer community in Orlando for a very long time.

Actually the U23s started using younger academy players towards the latter part of the season when the season looked again out of reach for playoffs or even a winning record.

That actually isn't correct either. There is information. There is a memorandum of understanding that was approved by the city in October, and a facility use agreement and non-relocation agreement that was approved in February. There are articles that summarize what is contained in these agreements. There is also information on the City of Orlando's website. This information can be obtained by anyone who wants it. I would assume that the actual agreements can also be obtained. If the other poster doesn't want to do a little research, that is his problem.

This makes sense. It would be surprising if there was no agreement at all for such a huge expenditure. i'm glad someone has researched it so we can find the truth and put all the rumors to rest.

This non Orlando City academy player entered the game at half time last night and scored both goals for the U23s. Seems that Romario is from Jamaica and plays soccer at UCF. I figured he might be from Brazil with a name like Romario. The 2-2 tie last night against FC Floridians who are actually in last place by 1 point over Orlando City U23s. The Floridians do have one game in hand and if they win secure second to last place and that would put OC U23s in last place. Someone needs to put a Purple Scarf around this UCF player quickly and claim his brilliance.

Good old Adrian is not about doing the right thing, or doing things well. He is only about himself. The 23s should be a link between the pro team and your college/elite players looking to get experience in between college and the pros. This is what PDL is about. Look at all the MLS clubs and how they handle PDL. Look at the Sounder and oops, a former OC PDL player who left because of the problems at OC.

The Purple Clown Car is a wreck. All talk and nothing. Nothing with DA, nothing with ECNL and nothing with PDL. Look behind the curtain and find an Englishman pulling all the strings. Follow the Purple Brick Road.

I'm an OC parent. I'm disappointed in our part of the mud slinging with FKK. How do you let yourselves get pulled In by some of that nonsense? For all that bash OC, they did something no one else could. They brought MLS to Orlando, for that matter, to Florida. They put together an Academy. There is a brighter spotlight on youth soccer here. They provide the biggest platform for youngsters to get noticed. Not the only one just the biggest. There are other ways and other great coaches. There are talented players not at OC that may make it one day. No one can deny the exposure the opportunity and rising status of OC.. OC staffers, please stop talking crap about other local clubs. This makes us look petty.

Look at the current rosters and see where the kids came from. I am not bashing just stating facts. This is part of the animosity and part of the problem. The animosity stems from one simple theme: Orlando City didn't EARN it.
