It's youth soccer. Get a grip on yourself. all your histrionics on Talking Soccer doesn't do anything to change the situation.

Although your little meltdown about "hate" is quite entertaining.

So why did oc back track so quickly? Also they have the most fields already why does lack of priority access to new fields equal no free programs? They own their own fields and have the deepest pockets so they don't need fields or money to do it if they really wanted to.

Why should they be obligated to provide free soccer when in regular bid they will have as much right to be there as any other club. In an environment where they can compete for their premier teams, they may get those fields anyway but for regular use not for underprivileged kids. Did the coalition explain this possibility? Once fkk takes over acys and all the others, maybe you might get some field space but fkk is like a Trojan horse.

You're clueless. FKK is not "taking over" Acys. While Acys has a decent and large soccer program, taking them over would be like taking over the local YMCA; soccer is only one part of their larger organization. Your ignorance about the local youth soccer scene is as bad as your ignorance about OC providing anything for "free"; it's all part of a trade-off where OC receives a publicly funded stadium and in exchange provide some level of soccer services back to the public. Any way you cut it, OC is coming out way ahead on the bottom line.

No meltdown. Just hoping to just get some traction behind a more positive relationship between the two clubs. Just no need or benefit to keep feeding the hate. That's all. Seems like the masses are not bothered by the extreme hate, so please continue.

Please expand. Is FKK bringing in someone from Texas?

That may be what you are trying to sell acys but we know the patch thing is just a ploy. Ultimately your goal is to take over. Be honest. Like it or not at least Phil is open that he wanted a large youth club. But as you have taken away the requirement to do free soccer for underprivileged kids who will never be able to in mass pay anyone's fees, you have opened up the door for them to bid for the fields they want like everyone else. And as you say, I think they have money. I don't really see it as a victory except for fkk as they collect clubs.

Guess its better than screaming at the wife or the kids for their own failures or shortcomings in life.
It doesn't matter the sport there are bad parents who are in each and the only common thing with them is they are fat and couldn't play the sport if they tried so they try to live thru thier child.

My guess is they backed down because either someone on the Commission told them or they realized they wouldn't get the votes, or they realized they wouldn't get the votes without a big fight that would generate a lot of negative publicity.

You are correct that not having priority access doesn't mean they can't do the free programs. But it makes it a lot more expensive and complicated. They can fulfill their obligations by doing other things. They may have the deepest pockets, but they don't have unlimited funds. Also, the Coalition has indicated they are going to use the 15 mile rule to prevent OC from doing the free rec programs in Orange County. They don't want OC to do the free programs.

Yes, they own their own fields - in Sanford. Those fields are also used a lot. And the programs they are required to operate have to benefit kids from Orange County. The Coalition complained that it would be difficult for under-privileged kids to drive to fields in Orange County, and now you are saying OC should ask them to drive to Sanford? Seriously, do you ever think before you type?

No, I'm saying they rent fields all over the city for the camps, why can't they do the same for this outreach. Now Seriously DO YOU THINK before your TYPE?

                      How is this any different.

Actually, you said, "They own their own fields and have the deepest pockets so they don't need fields or money to do it if they really wanted to." They only own the fields in Sanford. But, I'll go with your argument.

Secret Lake Park - Casselberry (Seminole County)
Seminole Soccer Complex - Sanford (Seminole County)
St. Lukes - Oviedo (Seminole County)
Champions World Resort - Kissimmee (Osceola County)
Hancock Park - Clermont (Lake County)
Airport Lakes Park - Orlando (Orange County) (congratulations, you got one right)

So one park in the city is considered to be "fields all over the city."

It is interesting that only one of the fields is in Orange County. Could it be that they tried to rent other fields, but weren't able to?

The Coalition says these kids can't make it to a field in Orange County, but you say they should be able to make it to a field outside of Orange County.

Could OC rent some fields in Orange County during the off-season and do some free programs? Maybe, and OC hasn't said that they won't. But it will be more expensive, and they can meet the requirement by doing other things.

So you twist small little details that are left out in an attempt to discredit yet you leave out details when making your argument. Perhaps you don't know as much as you think you do, or maybe you do and it was intentional.

In the past few years OC has rented fields for the camps in:

Union Park (UPM) - Orange County
East Orlando (Waterford/Avalon) - Orange County
                          Apopka - Orange County
                          Barber Park - Orange County
                          Econ/Arcadia - Orange County
Central Orlando (Trotters) - Seminole County

Just to name a few. It's a marketing and branding effort, I get it! My point is the argument keeps coming up that coalition = anti helping the underprivileged kids and OCS = is all about the kids.

Again, if the Coalition contested the use of the fields for free on Tues/Thur and Sat morning, why didn't they simply change the days? If as the coalition says those times are premium times, then it's probably premium for OCYS as well right? Wouldn't they have more staffing options on Mon and Wed then? Why did not just counter? Have they approached any of the coalition clubs to hear their concerns? I saw a Q&A put out by PR but besides a quote press release by Lashbrook, no mention of any talks between the groups.

They are business people and in business you try and negotiate the best deal possible. Does the lack of effort on their part show that they are not willing to negotiate and will simply do it there way without any consideration for how it affects other clubs? Should the small clubs just hand over everything just because OC demands it?

OC's action have resulted in just about all the other clubs from Orlando and a few from the surrounding area uniting to take a stance against them. As a business person, why piss off a potential fan base that will be needed to help them sell tickets?

Boy, if you define "extreme hate" by a bunch of anonymous postings on a message board, you are remarkably sensitive. It's not affecting anyone- so why not ignore it since it gives you the vapors and offends your butterfly-like sensibilities? Flit on over to the "My Little Pony" chat board and play pattycake.
