Just can't get over it can you? After months of crowing about how NLI was going to be FKK's moment of glory, their coming out party in front of all of youth soccer, OC stole their thunder. Now can you all just shut up and let the kids prove themselves on the field.

And I am sure that all 27 from OC got full rides. Sorry to burst your bubble but few and I mean few every get a full ride in soccer. if it is a full ride, it consists of soccer and academic money. You people are losers arguing about this...get a job.

My child got no help from the people at OCYS even when it was asked for. My child wasn't looking for them to do all the leg work, just help them over the last hurdle. Truthfully from what I saw, I don't think that the people in charge last year had any clue about how to help a kid get that signing. The top people didn't seem to understand that in the US it is extremely important to get that signing and for the kids to go to play college sports.

You are one of those living in 2012. Sorry to hear that. New ECNL Director and coaches. Much different experience in the here and now.

I did not "switch" my story. I have always maintained that OC did not make a big deal about how many girls were going to sign on NLI day. It was the FKKrazies who kept harping on 2/5 and how they would rule the day. Turns out they did not. It was their last grasp at trying to maintain they the club for development. OC celebrated the signings of their players and put on a first class event to garner media and publicity. That is how you market. Not by going on TS and making boasts your can't back up. Honestly, I think the area would have been much better off if HM had just relocated to Creeks.

And you know even less about what happens once they get to college. We will check rosters in the fall and see who is still on the team. Everyone from OC, FKK, FCA, Rush and SCU know what is available in scholarship money. All clubs have a college prep program that walks the parents and players through the process. Get over yourself Captain Obvious.

Don't forget OC renting out a hotel ballroom for their private signing ceremony. <chest thump>... I guess the rec players don't mind their dues and fees funding it.

Unlike FKK, we have a pro team that fully funds these celebrations. They are great for the kids and show OC's commitment to the community. You just can't see the value of youth soccer players being promoted as scholar-athletes on TV can you? It benefits the entire area and all of youth soccer. It is aspirational to young players and shows that you don't have to play moneyball to get exposure on NLI day. FINALLY, some publicity for youth soccer.

You are just mad it was not FKK on TV. This was supposed to be your hallmark day wasn't it? The day you showed superiority by having the most athletes recruited. Now you are reduced to petty jealousy because you are being seen for what you truly are - a small community club.

I guess your rec players don't mind paying for college coach visits. Now that you have fallen short of OC, maybe the parents will be a little more mindful of where their FKK dues are being spent. Good luck at the donut sale this weekend.

This is all so ridiculous! Both clubs should be proud of their players and what was accomplished. Both did a good job on getting players committed to college. Whether it's D1, D2, or D3, who cares. It's still an accomplishment to play college soccer and very competitive. I think overall this is great for the Orlando area. How about Rush and FCA - did they have any?

Rush did a national release that did not include Florida commits. FCA usually waits until most commits are in. You know, so the TEAM can celebrate together. What a concept.

Stealing? Stealing? ECNL must be some dumb, unethical jerks to let a club steal the league from the Godfather that brought it to Florida. Why can't you admit that ECNL took time to review the dispute and allowed OC to keep ECNL because it is the better qualified club to develop players? OC owns their own lighted fields, has a pro team and the support of community leaders. HM has debt piling up around him, teams lacking leagues and parents on perpetual fundraising. Would you expect ECNL to overlook financial resources just to keep the program with the originator? You have a lot to learn about life my friend. The trailblazers do not always get the spoils. Bill Gates did not develop DOS. He perfected it.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were, but if that coach is already on another clubs staff then that would be poaching. I know they have done it before, but I think that they have learned a little bit since then.

It was HM who was suspended for poaching. Remember having to align with Maitland to get your FYSA passes?

As the club changes I foresee coaches changing as well. However, doubtful SB will be at OCYS. I think this is a rumor. This guy would destroy the girls side or ANY side. He is a disaster and always has been.

Second that. His team imploded at State Cup last year. Several actually have already ventured over to OC and FKK. Combination of the team negatives and loss of fields is what I was told. Supposedly several girls were injured during the season and some of the parents blame SB for overtraining. Hard to say. Every team has injuries, however, when you are down to no subs at State Cup, you need to evaluate why.

My guess is several more FCA players will venture over to OC next season. Plenty of opportunities to play, coaches that know them and ECNL to get them noticed by over 600 coaches each showcase they play throughout the year.

What happened last year is the FCA girls came to OC and FKK try-outs and chose the best fit for them. Same thing will happen this year.

Heard from a friend w/ inside knowledge that in addition to SB going to OCYS in an effort to rescue the girls program that AH has failed miserably at, several coaches not currently at OCYS are being interviewed for coaching top level teams. Apparently current coaching staff certifications as well as certain team results are not satisfactory. Timing of interviews is to conclude at end of State Cup. Can anyone in OCYS confirm/ deny this?

This person has been pretty accurate w/ what they have told me so far before these events happened. (Told me last year AH & DT leaving waaaay before it happened)

OC just hired RB to coach along with AH and DT. Doubtful they need another coach. Especially one with such a checkered past, i.e., cheating at Disney.

OCYS does not need anymore crappy coaches, my guess they will use him to recruit. That's all he is really good at.

OC may try to pitch SB over to OC but that's only to steal his players. SB can not coach kids beyond U13 age group. SB is a recruiter.
