Did anybody post any official response from the league or OCYS regarding this incident? Haven't dropped by in a few weeks.

BTW, I was there. If any headbutt occurred it was the back of the refs head into the coach's forehead as he was choking him. That would explain the bump/cut on the coach and nary a mark on the ref.

I'm really surprised the big "professional" youth club mishandled the whole sorry episode so badly. If they finally got rid of the guy, at least they arrived at the correct outcome. Better late than never.

I was interested to learn that OCYS has launched "pre-ECNL", even though there seems to be no such thing accoridng to the ECNL league. Sounds like Phil has devised yet another way to suck money out of SoccerDaddies.

Glad to read about "college of the brain", though. Probably better than "college of the kidneys" or "college of the large intestine".

Actually if you knew anything about youth soccer development, you would know that the key years are U8-12 which is where OCYS is now focusing their development efforts. Of course, if all my talent was U16+, I would ridicule the younger ages as well.

Face it FKK. You had your shot. You have some talent. They are all leaving next year. Enjoy your 15 minutes.

Meanwhile OC will continue to develop players and build a program that will have both MLS and NWSL by 2015. By then, FKK jerseys will be collector items similar to the Orlando Rage, Thunder and Miracle jerseys.

The future is strong and will tell the truth!

The u/14 ECNL team will finish in the TOP 3 of ECNL this year.
Next year, OCYS will have the U/13 Pre ECNL team on the way.
Next year U14 ECNL team will be VERY STRONG
The U/15 Team will be Very Strong

The u/16,17 will add players and be very competitive and finish in the top half of the league.
The fall of 2014 U/18 will already have college of the brain and just be trying to NOT get hurt.

These are the facts
The future is Bright for OCYS

all the haters and false statements will be proven WRONG!
They will not have ECNL without HM--Wrong
They will lose ECNL--Wrong
They don't care about the girls program--Wrong

I actually would like to let the ladies do the talking on the field. Getting into a stat war is akin to two fleas fighting over a dog's arse. Everyone in the OC family knows we are on the right track. Each month, FKK becomes less relevant. By June, most of their talent will be on college campuses and they will not be talking about FKK. They will be fighting for playing time and FKK will get zero publicity.

Bottom line is that OC has turned things around and FKK parents are still pissed about ECNL. Just ignore the chatter and it will all be turned into college threads by this time next year.....college threads with one poster. LOL.

Agreed on one level. ECNL and DA is on a different planet to other platforms nationwide. Florida is just slowly catching up to this. Sadly the bitter taste in the parents mouths will cost the current young adults the best chance of playing at the next level. Surely parents can't believe that college coaches take and offer scholarships based on friendships? The ECNL South East Showcase in December already has over 150+ college coaches committed to attend. My daughter plays at VSI and even if I was involved in the mess of egos in Orlando my daughter would still be playing in the ECNL.

State cup, R3PL, WAGS and whatever other FYSA recreational league your daughter plays in is not pulling top level college coaches anymore. It's just a fact. Regardless of where you think the best coaches or nicest parents are!

Really?Those kids aren't going to get developed that well playing in that YDL league, not to mention some poor coaching at many of the teams in that age group. If you were being honest with yourself all of OCYS efforts are focused on the DA and trying to salvage what they can on the ECNL. Outside of that the only teams they care about is any team Greg Brick or Craig Melton coach.
