Funny- some people see free expression, debate and dialogue as a "problem".

It isn't debate and dialogue anymore, it is bash and keep bashing. It goes both ways and the same arguments keep getting recycled. There are haters on both sides that need to grow up and realize people have different opinions and going after people on an anonymous board just makes you low class.

I don't disagree that there is some very emotional and vitriolic posts (I'm trying not to fall into that category with this one). But i think that is part of the normal discourse. Go have a look at some of the other threads (Celtic, PV, etc); the emotion is not confined to OCYS/CFK.

I also think much of the animosity is beginning to subside. Yes, it flairs up again when one side or the other peceives an attack, but it's definitely getting better as time goes on. Eventually, it will go away on its own.

In my opinion, the solution IS NOT to attempt to shame, shout down or name-call anonymous posters into submission. That serves only to re-fire the animosity. Don't try to stop the posting- change the direction of the posting.

And yes, it's not confined to OCYS/FKK but such garbage isn't "talking soccer", rather, it's cowardly "talking trash" - about real people, more importantly, about real kids, real youth players
