It seems to me that there are way too many tournaments in Florida that weekend. OC, ACDC, PDA and Bazooka plus others. Maybe they should space some of these out so there is better competition. It's a holiday, but not for most schools, so I don't know why some clubs don't wise up and have theirs a different weekend.

I think OCYS should sue those other clubs and make them choose a differnt date.

OC/Seminole Soccer has held a girls tournament for probably thirty years on that weekend. They've never had an issue getting girls teams until last year.

The Girl's Fall Festival used to be one of the best-attended tournaments around. I remember there being two divisions of 8 teams in some of the age groups. Nothing against OCYS, maybe it's just a sign of the times, the economy, too many tournaments, who knows? It's a pity the Fall Festival has fallen off the way it has.

It's mandatory. The club says the teams are required to sign up for the tournament. and topay the entry fee. Mandatory.

The team might sign up but you don't have to. What a whiner.

I bet more than 4500 have sent this Sentinel article to Buddy and Theresa today. And hopefully to County Commissioners, too.

Quit being such a douche. Teams count season ticket sales, comp tickets and online sales even if they don't scan at the gate. Not saying it is right but everyone including UCF and the Magic do it. Do you honestly think the Magic averaged 13,455 per game last season?

And you're missing the point entirely. We want to play in a tournament that is meaningful- not kust a bunch of inter-club scrimmages designed to save face for the management. We can't do that when our team has been mandated to spend our team fees to play in our own tournament.
