yes, I am an OC parent. I have voiced my concern about asking parents to pay for this but we all know we have no choice because OC can't afford the bad press it will get for canceling yet another tournament. At least thats what our coach told us. Not fair to the kids, this could be money spent on attend g a worthwhile tournament or additional training.

Simple: do something more demonstrable and effective than squawking on Talking Soccer - don't have your kid's team participate or at the very least don't have your kid participate.

Of course, biggest difference being that, compared to squawking on Talking Soccer, non-participation isn't anonymous.

Many left last year and many more will leave again this year. After the poor ECNL teams get hammered this year, I don't see OC having any competitive teams on the girls side next year.

If you remember it was FCA last year that burned up these boards with craziness. Now it is FKK. Seems like it must be an FCA transplant to FKK that is the major problem causer.

so know you have recruited all star teams. so now WHAT? the parents of these kids have been the primary reason these athletes are so good. they have gone beyond normal established channels. now the young athletes are used to playing at a high level and training 4 x week. I have heard grumblings already that the club is not doing enough to challenge these players. playing watered down opponents and participating minimally challenging practices will not CUT IT! these parents wont stand by patiently and allow the club to waste opportunities to continue the growth and development of these special players. coaches directorship or anyone else who is listening : heed this advice DO MORE THAN WHAT YOU ARE DOING! NOT A THREAT!!!

FCA has just become irrelevant. OCYS is so full of themselves. FKK is too small this early in the game to make much of a splash. RUSH is flying under the radar. OCYS girls side will implode by end of ECNL season. Already seeing cracksin the facade...
It will be sad to watch.
