If you want something like a business. Figure the cost assuming with are using real money and make a bank withdrawl and pay for your business.
If we are not using public money then why are meetings needed.

"I think the newest plan — about half-and-half private, public money — is the best pro-sports deal this town has hatched."

Seriously...you're whining about a new stadium?

Married to the Mouse: Walt Disney World and Orlando

"The Reedy Creek Improvement District, established before ground was ever broken for Walt Disney World, gave the company carte blanche discretion over most aspects of development, taxation, and governance, allowing Disney to define building and land-use codes and standards, issue bonds, and apply for public funds. Yet this district is based on the lie consciously promulgated by Walt Disney himself and his successors: that the company was building a residential community in the Experimental Prototypical Community of the Future (Epcot). In fact, Walt Disney had no intention of creating such a community because he knew its residents would expect to exercise democratic political rights. The fiction was passed off on Floridians so that Disney could control its massive land holdings according to the corporation's evolving needs, all the while remaining more or less within Florida state law."

"At the same time, the company fully realized South Florida's economic dependence on it and asked for continuing concessions (especially road and interchange building) from the local governments to further the expansion of its tourist mecca."

Please post link(s) to article(s) which state (and are supported by facts) that Orlando residents will be paying for all of the costs associated with the proposed soccer stadium.

Based on some posted comments it's obvious that for some it is hard to accept that non-Americans (a Brasilian and an Englishman) may very well and most likely will be successful in bringing a MLS franchise to Orlando, FL - an effort and (anticipated) accomplishment not seen from any American(s) from the Orlando area, state of Florida or USA.

If not for a Brasilian and an Englishman, Orlando, FL wouldn't even be under consideration for the highest level of professional soccer in the USA.

For pure and true supporters of soccer, their efforts are applauded.

The Brazilian is spending the money for franchise. The Englishmen has spent his last 24 months. Good trade off. The State rejected the stadium deal now it's up to our Local counties and City. The Englishman has worked politics and media outlets beautifully and has won over the City. The youth club is in disarray but that's normal and expected with leader in place.

One can only expect and hope that when MLS arrives new leadership on the youth side goes in place from top to bottom.

"Disarray"? Because a group of disaffected coaches/parents/players left? I think not. If that is your definition then ALL soccer clubs are in disarray.

No one pretends that last year was great (it wasn't), nor do we pretend that this year will be perfect. However, it does seem like some lessons have been learned and that the club feels more united. This year has started very well and with a lot less drama.

Good luck to FKK on your upcoming season.

From top to bottom there is too large a disparity in talent and OCYS is going to be left with many upset parents questioning why they were fleeced by their own club. The purple teams should be playing elsewhere and everybody knows that. But too late now to enter TBU's tournament as their registration is now closed and have about 200 more teams registered than OCYS has.
Why would anyone be concerned? It happened three times last year. Nothing's changed.

As of now, 34 of 67 teams are OCYS. The participation is heavily weighted toward Jr. Academy Teams. Some Seniro brackets have only 2 teams. If they play the tournament, they will have to combine several age groups - as many as 3- to build a bracket.

How do the numbers look when comparing the number of girl teams vs boy teams?

at a glance, it appears Jr Academy Boys teams are most heavily represented.

This is such a funny thread..... one or two FKKrazies talking to themselves day after day trying desperately to keep it alive and near the top of the MB.

"Oh no. No-one has responded AGAIN!! Quick let's bump it back to the top with an imaginary reply!"...... repeat ad nauseum.

was there something "Krazy" in my post? all I did was answer a legitimate question with facts and a link to tournaments site. I think you OC folks are hyper-sensitive and feel the need to attack anything that might reflect poorly on your organization. Maybe you should threaten to sue GotSport for posting facts.

yeah Phil"Magic Jack" Rawlins sure knows how to manage the lawyers. Pretty said state of youth sports when soccer decisions all start with a call to Foels or Morgan&Morgan.
heck OCYS should give up trying to hold tournaments and instead just set up a tent and offer legal advice as a fundraiser. It's clearly what the club is better at....
