What's interesting is just two weeks ago they were predicting a mass exodus from FKK. By all accounts that hasn't happened. Some went and some even signed up but the majority returned. Lets see if any of those ECNL players that they selected leave them at the alter.

It's called a money grab by OCYS if anything close to 25 kids per team and I hope that is not true. If yes then lots of families will be unhappy at end of next year as it will be a lost year of development for many players. I wish all the kids best of luck and hope it all works out as there is still time for OCYS to make this work.

Maybe in FYSA where you have two short seasons. ECNL goes from August to June and games are longer so you see more substitutions. We started with 30 on the roster and had a 4 reserves by last showcase due to injuries. If your kid does not see minutes in the first few months, be patient. You never know who is going down.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Top tier players should try-out at multiple clubs. Options are a good thing for leverage and to see where you can be most successful. For some it is an ego stroke to get the ECNL invite and then return to your coach and team with the confidence of knowing you could play ECNL if you wanted.

For some it is about fit. If a team is loaded with strikers or has a great keeper, why would you want to play behind them? Do you think it would help your development? You know you will see limited minutes so you wait for an injury or use the competitive environment to drive you to improve. Not an easy thing for a teenage girl who has 3-4 years to make her mark.

This is all they have. They think the number of posts and followers is a sign of reaching a large soccer audience - ROFL. They have no idea that it is the same numb nuts posting over and over again. Even though they answer their own posts and pretend to be other clubs on TS, they still believe it is a great forum for marketing their club to "thousands of soccer parents."

Truth is that TS is probably the worst place to market your club. Nobody cares about anything but their own agenda on here. I have seen so many bald-faced lies and ridiculous rumors that I have to chuckle at how gullible the FKKrazies are when it comes to TS. Keep posting Krazies. You may just convince yourself one day.

We seem to have convinced a whole lot of people with our RESULTS. I know it's easier to just lay back and pretend the Directorship is telling you the truth about "next year". But can they point to any results?

The DA teams are putting up results like crazy. Your boys program? The girls have ECNL and get the best opportunity to move to the next level - college coaches recruit here first. So OC best teams will probably never compete in a state cup - how many college coaches were there? So by results I guess it can be measured by what your end goal is. Is your end goal to have a bunch of meaningless trophies (OC has those too)? Or is your goal to give the kids the best opportunity to play at the next level? I think OC results are pretty good.

A couple of things hit home with me, I do want my kid in a positve environment for soccer and I want him to be happy. Last night, he didn't make the top team, wasn't happy about it but wants to work to get there. After wards the pro team was playing at the complex. That was a great idea and a lot of fun. Great game, and my boy ran around with the kids from every team. They played and watched for a few then played some more. Loved it!! Kids from the purple goofing around with the white and I assume other teams, didn't know them, but it was good to watch. They Seem to know each other and what a large diverse group of boys!

I agree, let's start posting results. How many kids came to tryouts? How many girls? How many boys? FKK & OCYS. a whole lot of talking last few weeks. What's you number?

But their future is too shaky and all have jumped shipped. So by process of elimination you will see an improvement with OCYS in general. That is great for them. You also will see some changes with FKK. Time will tell if both will be better or not but everyone needs to just shut up and accept where they choose to play. All the bickering amongst these two clubs is mostly a handful of freaks from both clubs and it makes EVERYONE dislike each other out of blind loyalty.
We look like idiots to the rest of the state for sure. Just chill, accept your decision and enjoy your children playing. It will be over soon and you will wonder why you wasted time complaining about it. Your memories will be of typing away instead of watching your child play!!!!!!!
