I haven't claimed that OC won. That wasn't the point of my post. You were wrong when you said no one was preventing OC from providing whatever program they want. You just can't bear to admit that your club opposes OC providing free soccer programs to underprivileged kids at local schools. But just because you can't admit it, doesn't mean that it isn't a fact.

Again, feel free to explain why that quote means something different from what it says.

      The explanation is simple:Simple:

OCYS : "we'll fulfill our contractual obligation to provide free soccer for the poor, but we want you to pay us by giving us premium practice times for our exclusive use on fields all over the city."

Coalition responds: " Hey Commissioners, if you're stupid enough to fall for this transparent ploy, then you should at least be stupid equally for all local youth clubs"

County Commission to Phil: "Look, Phil, we didn't just all fall off the lime truck, here. Your proposal is obviously unfair. Try again, or we'll write the agreement for you."

Phil: " You're right. I didn't write that blatantly silly attempt to gain advantage. It must have been Greg. He's a bloomin' monkey, but I have to keep him around for appearances. I'll get a new proposal over right away, Mates. And don't forget I've got you all reserved parking spaces at my <err> I mean "your" new stadium..."

You should be less concerned with how much resources are being sent to OCYS DA, and more concerned with where your fees are going. Are you taking funds from your rec players and using it to subsidize the U9-U10?

All clubs set their fees based on what they think people will be willing to pay. They lose on some players, and make money on others. If OCYS is going to have a successful DA, they won't be able to rely on increasing fees on Academy and rec players. The pro club will have to provide the funding.
Keeeeep 'splainin'! Bottom line: everybody pays for the "elite" DA and ECNL!

So what are you paying for? The fees are similar at both clubs, but we have DA and ECNL. Where is your money going? I've asked that question three times, and you still haven't answered.

What a joke he made out of that team.
He couldn't coach his way out of a box.

That is an interesting thought. If our fees are similar or even close, and some of ours goes to support DA, ecnl or whatever, where do the extra fees go at your club?

Nice try, but wrong. The quote doesn't have anything to do with the new fields. The Coalition said OC didn't need access to the new fields for these programs. They weren't saying, "If you give them free access to fields, you should give us something also." They were saying, "Don't give them free access to fields. Also, if these programs are implemented, they should be held at the schools, and you need to pay us to do it." The Coalition is opposed to OC providing free programs to underprivileged kids - not at the fields, but at the schools. That is a fact, and you can't explain that away.

Well that does make you wonder why we pay such high fees unless we are subsidizing players or a coaches paycheck. We don't have programs like DA.

I never claimed OC couldn't do free stuff. Seems like the only thing you proved was that you don't know what you are talking about.

A lot of U13 FCA girls at OC Super Y tryouts. Why would OC have them there.
