They even added 2 Ket players from other clubs. The 17 and 18 are strong next year at OCYS. More announcements to come in 2 weeks on the Girls side, the 14,15, and 16 will be just fine. Oh yea, they also can guarantee the leagues and players pass cards.
"Pre-ECNL"??? is that what the English are peddling these days? LoL

as far as your Senior Girls - OCYS got hammered with mass defection. No harm in having a re-building year, but don't just ignore it and claim you have talent.

No one has claimed to have all the talent, it is just been said that not all the age groups are devastated.

I wish the Pre-ECNL U13 team good luck next year but if my eyes saw correctly when at the FKK tryouts I would say OCYS lost more than 3 of their girls to FKK. The U13 team next year will certainly get a lot of attention from OCYS as this is the only team that stayed with them in bulk and their best hope of having success in the future as all the other ages got decimated.

How many of BS U15 (rising U16) boys got selected for DA or stayed at OCYS?

Yes they did most white & red team players. The purple players they got should never have been on the purple team last year. I can count on 2 fingers the talent that will be on this team.

Nice that you feel the need to speak so freely and say negative things about kids that very well might read this. Feel free to bash HM or any other adult at FKK but we would all be best served if we didn't comment about the kids.

I'm interested in this notion of a "pre-ECNL team", too- but from a different perspective:

ECNL is supposed to be a league that allows participating clubs to attract the very best college-bound talent from all over the club's operating area and beyond.

part of the attraction is supposed to be the idea that a talented kid will be looked at objectively at any annual tryout from u14-u18. participating clubs are supposed to be objective in judging players to keep the teams at the area's 'peak skill level'.

if a club allows teams to be insular and "pre-picked" - as is common for for Premiere soccer particularly at older age groups- it defeats the idea of gathering the best talent from an entire geographic area.

While i can certainly understand the club's marketing of a "pre-ECNL" status, and the parents' pride in having a player termed "Pre-ECNL" at 12 years old, I wonder if the concept doesn't create an insular environment that results in the same 16-20 local players comprising the team through u18- to the exclusion of deserving players who may want to tryout in later years?

                just a thought FWIW

So it's ok to talk about how bad the girls in the older age groups will be at OC and how great the girls at FKK will be but when you have a weak team no one should say anything.

The U13 FKK team will implode. Too many parents on that team with agenda's.

The OC U13 team has talent but they will not develop just like they did not develop last year. Speed and size is only an advantage for so long. Half the team can not even kick with their left foot.

The FCA U13 top team has talent but will they develop??????? Where will they play?????? My guess is good but not great.

FCA U13 has talent but will not develop. Will see a lot of kickball from this team. The team is one year and done.
OC U13 has some talent but here again the coaching may be an issue.
FKK U13 is a region cup team at best but may have the best coach.

Sorry to have left them out of the comments.
Rush U13 girls. This team will have the best coaching and training in the Orlando area at this age. They have some talent but not very much depth. This team will start out slow but will be the most improved by the time next season ends.

Just curious, which FCA top team are you talking about. Many of the kids on the U12 team left and I am certain that SB doesn't have much of a following anymore especially on the boys side.

Perspective from a parent of a college-bound u18: Relax. These kids are barely 12 years old. Most of them aren't that good kicking with their natural foot- much less learning to be ambidextrous. there's plenty of time for intensity in a couple years. Don't drive them hard at this age.
