Exactly, if you are so unhappy with the DA program why would you continue with it. Its a big commitment, I'm sure they can find a replacement for your kid so take him somewhere else and maybe you'll be much happier.

True, dissatisfied people can leave. But I question whether they are dissatisfied because they feel they were misled about costs?

If the club's DA cost structure was fully and accurately disclosed prior to contracts being signed, then no one should complain. But if things changed or "hidden" fees were disclosed after the fact, then the poster has a legit gripe.

There was ABSOLUTELY NO hidden fees. All players who were accepted into the DA were given ALL the forms which stated very clearly the registration cost to the player and how much OCYS was paying. In addition, there were several meetings with the individual teams and then all the teams and parents together discussing ALL the costs and travel expenses. The only person who would have a gripe would be someone who did not attend ANY meetings or READ ANY of the forms they had to sign before the player was registered on the DA.

In addition, after the original cost were calculated for travel and team expenses OCYS went back and reevaluated those cost and lowered them as they made some changes in the method of travel at the suggestion of parents.

I am not sure what you are trying to bring up here. I could blame OCYS for a lot of things but by far there is no 'tricky business" with the transparency of the DA.

Actually what you don't know OC is your parents are all complaining. Just like last year they are still doing it behind your back. It is a shame that you tell lies but to continue to tell lies to yourself is the failure of your organization. Last year coaches, parents and players came to you to make you aware of problems. You didn't listen. You put your head in the sand. You continue to do so.

The problems are just as bad and you will again have a negative year at tryouts. Instead of changing you are doomed to repeat the same failures over and over again.

I stayed hoping things would get better but they have not. Same old same old.

How many hotels rooms were booked in Seminole County due to the overwhelming support OC was able to garner from Outside area clubs. Hoe many Tampa or Miami teams attended Columbus day event? ZERO is the correct answer.

I wasn't trying to bring anything up. All I said was if everything was disclosed, then there shouldn't be any complaints. Given your detailed version, I would say that everything was thoroughly communicated, and therefore noone should be surprised by what it costs to play DA.

I didn't count but from what I saw maybe JFC or even FCA won more brackets than OCYS. I think on the boys side I saw more OCYS winners but that was expected. But clearly OCYS didn't win too many brackets.

Keep in mind many OCYS teams played up a year in the top bracket as well.

Yes!! Because some age groups originally had 5 OCYS teams in their brackets. There were also rec teams brought in for some age groups.
