What are you talking about? What unwarranted cuts are you talking about, to players, coaches what? If a coach is leaving and they are happy then why are they leaving. You have no idea yet what is going to happen, for some reason you either are listening to others that are spreading rumors, or you just want things to go on the way they always have. OC coaches are going to be looking to put together the best teams they can, and it won't matter where the players come from. That may leave my child or yours out of the equation for the top team, but that is the way it is.

But if you look at the whole thing objectively, it's also easy to see why there are more former CFK people with prominent positions at OC than FSA.

What was the expectation for this merger from the FSA side? Did you really believe that it would be 50/50 staright down the middle, when CFK is 3x larger in membership and financially stable, and brings ECNL to the mix?

I agree, cfk brought in ecnl and will probably have their coaches coach the ecnl teams. Rush brought in the academy, so their coaches will probably coach the academy teams. This leaves FSA coaches the "b" teams.

The coaches have to have the right licenses for those programs, so it makes sense for the ECNL/DA. There are still State Cup teams below them, so guess you consider those the B teams. And the current B teams become C teams. So what. There should be a team/coach for every player if they want to play. Obviously there is no way everyone will make the ECNL/DA teams, and some people don't even want to. If FSA people are really that upset I guess they can take their coach and players over to FCA - they would probably love to have you.

I think part of the problem is people being so hung up on "A team" or "B team".

The way I look at it, DA and ECNL are separate. After that you have Premiere A (or black), Premiere B (white), etc. If my kid is on a successful team with other committed players, fine with me.

I have a couple of comments, and then questions to the OP. First, FSA does have representation, and that is 3 BOD positions. Second, you have no idea yet who the DOC positions are going to so you don't know if any are in key positions. Should a club that was having major issues and needed OC come to the rescue really hold many key positions. Or should the club that represents 3x more kids and has 5 State Cup final 4 teams and also is bringing with them the top girls league in the country have more key positions.

Now questions, first, why would OC give A teams(ECNL and DA) to FSA coaches if they are not the best available coaches. I believe that EQ has shown at CFK that he is one of the best trainers/coaches in the area and overall one of the nicest people I have ever met. I did see a women from FSA run a training session a couple of nights ago, and as far as a training session I thought she is more than capable. Is she a good overall coach, I don't know because this is all I have to base my judgement on her. You have coaches at FSA with credentials, and some may be good, but I have also seen some that don't put what they know to use. They just go through the motions, and I have first hand knowledge of that. I will ask this again, why would the coach of the top team not want to pick the best players when they are going to be playing in the top leagues against some of the top teams in the country. That thought process makes no sense to me.

I am with you on that line of thought. I think ecnl will be super premier teams and made up of a variety of girls, and if you status other ecnl teams, a lot of rosters are girls that drive in from other cities, so draw your own conclusions there, probably an interesting turn there for our current rosters. I think the state cup teams will be a lot of FSA, CFK, and other coaches, so not a big change there. If you coach a state cup now, don't you think you will be coaching a state cup next year, ecnl will be a new thing as will Dev acad.
