There are other girls who are playing on top 16 teams who would qulaify for ECNl teams. Do not think for one minutes that only 2-3 spots will be available for other players. In the past new ECNL clubs were suprised to see that openminded coaches selected only about 50-60 % of their previous team to be on ECNL. If the same does not take place woth the new Florida teams it would be a major blow to ECNL and the new ECNL clubs.

certainly every top 16 team has 1-3 players which brought their team to the top 16. They are the likely candidates to play ECNL. In the Orlando area the local U17 team is not that good on a all around basis. There is lots of room for improvement. The same hold true for Brandon.

At most there are 2-3 spots on each Krush/ECNL roster available. The current U17 and U16 are in the SC final four. Do you think those rosters are going to change much as those teams move on to ECNL? The state cup teams playing in FPL is also a real problem as the competition is weak.

Cfk never wanted their girls to play high school and is now using the excuse to enforce it. FSA / OC people were going to allow it prior to the meeting.

DA has pretty much always had the rule regarding no HS.

If it were between picking a Cfk player over an FSA player Cfk would get the slot. Because Cfk people are running the show not OC.

Every BIO read all were high school standouts and put that on their bio because it was something the were proud of. Some played and coached at the high school level. But now HS is crap to them.

FSA coaches will be 2nd choice for coaching slots. But have to play the political game to stay. OC did you blindside all the FSA coaches, and was this something in the works years ago?

Why was there no reps from the old FSA noted during meeting except one or two. Fact seems to be this was a blind side takeover at the last minute. Seems OC did not stand up and recognize this.

What happens when you have a vast majority of the of your elite players decide to stay at SC so they can have the high school experience that every player before them has had and went to college on a scholarship. You will have a lot of players come to tryouts however your elite team may be made up of players from outside the community.

Parents, if your child is a bubble player between Sc and ecnl, you will be told to do ecnl rather then sc go ahead spend the money to ride the pine. But you will be told 350 coaches will be at each game but will your kid even get off the bench to be seen.

Way out the time and money before you make the choice because if your kid is good enough and you put your kid where they need to be at the right time outside of ecnl they will get that scholarship everyone is pushing.

Overall, a decent post. But you are 180 degrees wrong on what it took to get ECNL to CFK. A LOT of people, coaches and players put A LOT of work into the application and process over a TWO YEAR period.

Don't insult and belittle those people by claiming it was just a phone call from HM to a commissioner.

350 college coaches, understand that you will not see any college coaches and regular league games only the ECNL showcase events, and they will be only watching u16 / u17 games.

Please CFk, keep your daughters from accepting the ecnl spots on the team so they play highschool. I know for sure girls from my club will be there even though we are being told we need to register next week right after state cup before tryouts even begin. I think you whiners will be surpised at the turnout. How many clubs applied for ecnl and didn't get it are in a 1 hour-1 1/2 distance from OC. They will be there too! Gb and ja are the Antichrist: the started a club almost by themselves that ended up doing it the right way. They invested their own money and time and spent time developing young players instead of just recruiting them at u15.

Hm and CFK will ultimately fail: they did things the right way, contrary to the fl way of doing them and now have built themselves into statistically the top club in the state.

Fpl will fail: people said Fpl was a crazy idea and wouldn't work. In 1 year it has doubled in size and the only 2 teams to gain entrance into the presitous ecnl were from the Fpl.

The more successful a club gets, the more motivated a couple of crazy loonies wil be to tear them down.

CFK/ocys this year:
Won both girls and boys u11 presidents cup.
3rd straight year the girls CFK team has won u11 presidents cup
5 teams in the final 4. Most in the state
Teams have played in surf cup, Dallas cup, texans showcase, final 4 showcase, Disney, etc
26 players committed to play in college. Most in Orlando.
Only club in FL and one of 24 in the country to have both da and ecnl

Ts always makes it sound bad. Lol. Reality is 90% of people at CFK are and have been happy. Hm can be a little hard to listen to but under his leadership you can't argue with success. My son loves his training and Orlando is much better for it.

I can't speak for Fsa but I am sure there are a range if emotions. The club was grossly mismanaged and ocys bailed them out. Their presidents cup and state cup results we the worst in their clubs history. I can't imagine that they were hoping things would stay the exact same.

Why does everyone keep saying that? It was one small group of about 20-25 girls which based on previous posts, were probably guaranteed spots already. What about the other 800 in the club or even the other 100 or so other girls in attendence. What about the boys team he coaches? Way more were very silent!!
