He seems to consider himself small in comparison to the game. He understands and respects it above himself. I've never heard a conceited or self-centered word from him.

Most hated guy, he may be but you wouldn't have known it by the players from CFK at the meeting the other night. I guess he would be since he was running the biggest club in the area which causes him to have a target on him any way. The majority of parents want to be in charge instead of the club and HM certainly isn't warm and fuzzy. The goal by people at CFK all along was to grow the club and get the best players in Orlando together to train and play at the same location to try to make it one of the best clubs in the southeast. They had been talking to OC since last summer to try and make a merger happen by this coming season.

If by ending their short run you meant they accomplished getting ECNL status after only 2 years and then got another merger with OCYS done, then yes I guess they were. The whole group deserves credit for that accomplishment, it wouldn't have happened without any of the components of the club along with the mergers that happened. 5 teams in the final 4 of State Cup isn't to bad either, I'm sure anyone there would say that was a good year even if . I guess a couple State titles would be better though, maybe in a couple weeks that will have happened also.

Hopefully OCYS delivers the type of soccer in Central Florida that everyone wants. Is ECNL or DA the end all be all for everyone, obviously not from some of the posts. The thing is I am not sure why all the anger over it since all they have done is added a layer above State Cup and if kids and their parents thinks this is the option for them then it is there. If they think that playing for a State Cup and playing high school is more like what they are looking for then they have that as they always have. Everyone that can play at this level has a choice to make, I personally like to have choices.

Good luck to Central Florida soccer hopefully it will move in a positive direction.

I usually refrain from posting in this crazy place but after I quit laughing I felt the need. YOU SIR, ARE AN IDIOT. But I would guess you already know that. You would have an easier time proving the earth was flat than convincing anyone of that.

It wasn't until after many of the top coaches confronted HM and the board that the merger actually got in gear.

I guess since you are so pissed off(about what I don't know) you will be finding a better option this coming season for your child. You can come on here and say that HM told everyone that they weren't to play Super Y but in fact you would be wrong since I told him to his face that my child was playing and he never said that. He doesn't like Super Y and neither do some of the lead people at FSA. I am sure one of the reasons that OCYS is part of it is to get more kids over to the club but also to support USL which is the league they are part of. I do know that coaches were leaving, because some of them were involved with OC already and most wanted to be part of OC(can't blame them much). You don't know what you are talking about when it comes to the BOD. They were already deep in talks when OC took over FSA and were trying to work out the details. What top coaches went to a BOD meeting to confront them as you put it.

Hey Pissed Off Parent... Apparently, OCYS management and owners decided Hue was the real deal, rather than the Poser Soccer Gypsy who they demoted... Stay PO'd as long as you like, but do it at Maitland...

The kids were not the primary consideration in either case because if you can get fields and coaches and attach the words "elite" or "academy" to them, the kids will come.

I am not a fan of him either but it was a CFk event, so hm spoke. At least he had a microphone. By the way, if you are curious about ecnl, check out the websites of other team that have it already and see the schedule and commitment these girls take on. It is fantastic for them, they finally have something comparable to the boys programs.

I don't think you get it. IT WASN'T A CFK EVENT! FSA/OCYS players were sent a dozen emails to attend just as CFK did to their members. That's why so many are upset as its pretty obvious that OCYS is actually just the same old CFK. I'm not sure why but apparently the FSA board sold out the club!!
