Ocys was the main factor in academy. Their is a host of reasons rush was denied 5 times (organization, structure, lack of a youth academy, money) the cooperation between clubs is great but telling people that rush was accepted is false and ridiculous.

Ecnl was accepted purely based on cfk's merit. It has 100% nothing to do with ocys. Meetings with CFK and ecnl officials happened over 10 times and not once was a ocys official present or the merger discussed.

Ocys will bring great value to both CFK and Fsa but ocys played no part of the ecnl application or acceptance. Go back and read the ecnl press release.

Both new ECNL Clubs were accepted only with the understanding they would merge into a larger group. CFK had no choice if they wanted to be part of ECNL OCYS would not have had ECNL without CFK and visa versa. The same happened with the other group VSI.

Will the Orlando Soccer Gypsy at least get to keep coaching a u13 team? There's a guy who got kicked to the curb quickly.

Just maybe the Gypsy's don't care. Just maybe the Gypsy's just wanted to see soccer run properly in Orlando. This same poster has been calling these coaches Gypsy's for some time but how crazy is it that when CFU came to them with merger they changed name to CFK- KRAZE- KRUSH they must of done something correct. Sometimes it takes folks to step out of the BOX and to rock the boat in order to get change. Just maybe your afraid of change because with change you will be figured out that you truly can't coach and you do not have a clue. Orlando Soccer has been broken! Look what's happened now. Orlando Has ECNL and US DEV Academy. I bet 60/70 percent of the players who will play at this level were trained by the Gypsy's and now others will benefit in the future; I bet the few that were talked out of staying with the Kraze/Krush folks with soon come back to play.. Move on poster. When Orlando City a Professional soccer Group came to Orlando they hooked up with other true soccer folks and guess what you were not asked to join. Orlando soccer has changed for the best and guess what YOU HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. Your best bet to get involved at this point is to knock down the Gypsy's and sneak in for a Peek. The Gypsy's have helped shape soccer in Orlando forever. This goes out to all the rebel coaches that joined in to fight the boards that ran clubs into the ground. Looks like the Professionals already got rid of stupid ego driven board members at FSA. Those guys are gone and have left nothing behind. That club was two months from going under or being taken over by the county. This goes out to all the Gypsy coaches that rebelled against the old BOD run clubs. YOU HAVE HELPED CHANGE THE SOCCER LANDSCAPE IN ORLANDO FOREVER!!!!!! I've been a parent that has followed them from day one. They really do care. Your just a jealous person that soon will be forgotten.

It's funny when US Soccer visits or College coaches visit they seem to hang out with Gypsy's. I guess US soccer is wrong as well.. Ha ha -

I Agree with above poster. Well said " I can see the future is brighter for soccer in Central Florida ". We now have so many options. If you want to play Recreational soccer there are other club options as well.

              You spelled "Gypsies" wrong.

The Orlando Soccer Gypsy is a guy who never did anything but try to stuff his own wallet. He left a trail of broken promises and disillusioned families in his wake. He's been around for years, but accomplished little until REAL soccer management came to central Florida. But first chance that came along, he threw everyone under the bus to chase an opportunity with OCYS.

Now it looks like he's getting the reward.

you do realize that OCYS will be comprised of over 50% Recreational soccer as you call it.

They alreayd comprise that amount now add in FSA which is roughly 80% Region/Rec level.

I think its great that OCYS has all this going for it but the CFK are in for a rude awakening when thier little player who was on the Black team doesn't make ECNL or Academy. You do realize that those two programs will draw the better players from the surronding clubs which at some levels are far greater than CFK players and yes not as good as some at other levels.
It will be interesting to hear those parents cry foul when thier child is on the 3rd team or 4th team and just last season started on the first team. (plus expect higher fees across the board as they will be able to charge what they want within reason.)

Good luck at tryouts to all wherever you go.

Yes, the future is undeniably bright for central Florida soccer. The merger of FSA and CFK under the OCYS banner is a great thing- and the award of ECNL to CFK and Academy to the new club makes it the first Florida 'super club'.

The management choices made by OCYS also tell me that they have figured out who the real soccer people are, who can lead and contribute for the benefit of the KIDS, and who the posers and pied pipers are.

Good luck Lions! The future is bright!

Can you explain why you say this with such relish? The DA at OCYS is an excellent achievement. What CFK black parent of a child who is not at the very top end of the quality spectrum is going to get a rude awakening?

You are just a rabble rouser who is trying to make himself/herself feel good that some kids will not be in DA team. Guess what? That kid will simply need to work harder to make the roster eventually otherwise the elite game will pass him by. This happens and is the natural course of things in this sport. No big deal.

The point is that OCYS is now a great place for aspiring players to learn and showcase their skills and when they do develop they will be rewarded with placement on the appropriate level team instead of what you will probably do which is still chase some rogue coach or pretend to be the daddy-coach with the recipe for success.

I assume your child did not make GB team?

Is that news to everyone? A disgruntled parent posting about a coach that had his little Johnny dropped from the team. Is this about playing time?

Cfk's ecnl application had nothing to do with ocys. Why would a men's pro side have anything to sweeten the women's ecnlnapplication.

                          Truth-
CFK got accepted to ecnl based on ecnl's desire to go into FL CFK being the clear first choice.
Ocys got accepted to academy based on their leadership and connections and needed rush's players to be immediately competitive.
                          You are correct.

You're a mommy, aren't you? It's usually the mommies who fall for this guy's line of crap. It's happened for years, but it's over now. The real business guys and real coaches are in charge.

Couldn't possibly care any less about the mamby-pamby bickering.

                              Let's cut to the chase:

OCYS/USSDA for 2012-13 - how/when/where will tryouts be conducted? Will players NOT previously involved with CFK, FL Rush or FSA have an equal and fair shot at making a USSDA team at OCYS for 2012-13?

When can details and information about tryouts and USSDA at OCYS be expected?

I've heard all kinds of crazy numbers as to what it is going to cost to play at OC next year. They have hired a bunch of new people and everyone's got some big title. The more they hire, the more money the club has to take in. Also wonder if HM will be taking a pay cut since his responsibilites and authority going to be way less. it will be interesting to see but sure its not going to be cheap.
