Orlando City -merges CFK and FSA

Well I cant wait to see what the parents do if their daughter doesnt make the ECNL team. BE realistic not every girl from JM team will make team. But the ones who don't make ECNL will be told the same line CFK always tells and that is that they will be looking at your player all year and they may get moved up. Believe me, dont fall for that line because it never ever happens. I also wonder how many parents really understand how much money it cost to play ECNL. Everyone is headed over to OC to try out but are they up for the THOUSANDS a year to play it. People forget your not traveling around the state with ECNL, you're traveling around the country. Not to mention the registration much higher than normal club fees.

You're obviously not ECNL material. And that's good.

Choice A- stay at FCA and play for a club going the wrong direction for a dad coach who carries a clip board and wears a coach jersey in a local recreational league.

OR

Choice B- play for a club with professional proven licensed coaches in the top league in the country for a club with a professional staff.

Yeah, I have no idea why they would leave FCA. Only in Orlando do desperate club coaches and parents get on to bash ECNL in favor of playing in GCF so they can collect a trophy.

"Choice B" is a dead-end.

However, the club reaps the benefits of revenues.

Wonder how many people are going to go to their Meet the Club night. Let me tell you, you already know them, its CFK moved to OC. I have several kids that play for CFK but I for one can't stand to hear another sales speech from any of its leadership. If you go just be sure you take a barf bag, you might need it if the speeches are anything like they were at the CFK meeting. My kids just want to play soccer, don't bother trying to sell me all that other BS.

Hmmm or should I say HM? I didn't see any FSA people on that panel. How is this not just another CFK or HM marketing tool?

Please tell me HM is going to a have less of a leadership or better yet maybe they can get rid of him. I know they'll keep him around a little bit because of his successful efforts to get ECNL but he needs to go. He has NO people skills what so ever and you only need to be around him for a few minutes or read one of his emails and you'll know he has no kids of his own and cant relate to parents at all. If he is going to stick around can the club please pay for him to go to a public speaking class or enroll him in toastmasters.

Some FSA guys are in good positions of responsibility in the new club. I think the fact that they aren't part of the Dog and Pony Show speaks positively of them. Let's face it- HM isn't there because of his amazing speaking skills. He's there because he brought ECNL to the club. It's the other guys who will be weaving the fantasy for all the gullible parents and their wallets.

This is HILARIOUS! I know this was just a joke however sounds just like something they would do. Remember they are the same ones that are charging $650.00 for Super y when the most any other league in the entire state is charging $250.00 but I know you get that OC season ticket!!

Oh I'm so sorry you and many other parents at FSA dont know the CFK leadership yet. Believe me no one at FSA will have any real leadership role at OC and if they do you know they are the ones kissing ass.

This must be a CFk board member trying to weigh in positively on hm being involved. Trying to oust FSA hasn't worked. They still have a voice and looking for better things to come. This is not doing anything for your new club but making other options in central florida look good as bad as they are.

Actually just the opposite, I have no desire to talk to the coach during or after my kid's practice. I pay them to coach my kid in soccer. I would be the first one to tell you to let your coach do their job and if you're not happy with them at tryouts you can go somewhere else. I just get so sick of HM telling parents what we can and cannot do. You obvioulsy have not had much experience with him. He talks so much **** and sends out emails trying to tell parents how we should be parenting our kids. His ego is huge and he might need to be reminded that most of us are paying for our kids to play at CFK, he needs us, I know he wants you to believe your child needs him and will never ever go anywhere in soccer without him but plenty of kids from this area went on to play soccer in college well before he ever stepped foot into Central Florida. Without all of us PAYING parents, his club cant do very much.

Welcome to the world of the ECNL. You get coaches who will sell out their clubs and move because they have to be at the "highest level". You get families who think that there special daughters won't be successful or recruited if not in the ECNL. What you really get is more travel and much more expense, the same training, larger rosters, and you and your kids will be looking over your shoulders wondering what "shiney penny" will take your darling daughters position.

You are exactly right!! Parents better understand what they are getting into. Are you prepared to fly your daughter to California to play in a game and they may never come off the bench? Its called competition, for some its great however many cant play under that kind of stress. Everyone is talking about their daughters making an ECNL team and are totally clueless as to what that really entails.
