Aside from the U11 debacle, no other teams have been affected by the "board". What assistance does AI or RM need from them? AI and RM are two of the biggest advocates of the board believe it or not. Go talk to them.

That may be true , he has an ego like most self proclaimed soccer experts which is why he has been from club to club.But say this he ravaged the Predators leving the cupboard bare over there. RM and AI are excellent coaches no doubt , dont think for a minute they wish they had some leadership at the club . Ib as well but he does not consider hinself a Parkland coach .There is one common thread here between every post or blog good bad or ugly, WHY WHY WHY are these Board Members hanging on , for what reason just answer that it would put this all to bed.

Let's revisit this in two weeks after registration and see how many teams there are. Time will tell. If the club actually ends up with only a couple teams, I'll hop on the bandwagon to oust the board as well. I just don't think it's that severe right now. I think there will be at least 8 teams

Look let me be clear about where I stand with the club... I agree with you that the board needs changes but as of now, my kid is having fun and developing with her coach.. I want changes but I want to be here and have other people here with me to make a difference. Cleaning house is not feasible and it worries me because it could fall into manipulative hands rather than clueless hands. Let's fix this broken machine. The city will not support ousting them so how does bitching help? Let's start talking to the coaches and try to make a united effort toward change.

If your kid is happy thats all that matters, but all residents of Parkland should have been afforded the same opportunity to be haapy at there home town club.Please dont say thats the case because the three Board Members will not let that happen.At some point the Mayor or Parks and Rec Director will not have a choice but to get involved , its just a matter of time!

I agree with you and I support making changes to the club. I just do not think it is as simple as getting the three board members out because that will never happen all at once. Once someone comes up with a feasible plan for change, I will hop on that bandwagon. Right now my daughter is developing and happy and loves her coach.

The Predators are a broken model no doubt, but SAT is not for everyone either, The city of Parkland has done a bad job between rec,travel,and sat ,what is needed is one strong leader for all groups that cant be bought by the spoiled brats living in Parkland.

Umm, that sounds exactly like a call for SAT. But don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

Parkland is in the rearviiew mirror for good , seems like alot of other people took the same advice.At some point your theory wont work with Parkland because with out a plan or leadership they wont last another year ,

What the hell is going on here? How the hell are we supposed to understand a post devoid of complete sentences, lacking flow and transition between thoughts, and filled with misspelled words? OK...it's blog so we aren't proofing our writing but how are we supposed to follow an argument written like this?

Have you all noticed that if you read the threads for all of these clubs in south Florida you get similar posts? I have seen threads in the past few weeks about how parkland sucks, coral springs sucks, Weston, team Boca, west pines, and on and on. Every club has people who hate it and people who love it. Whenever a club doesn't not live up to someone's expectations, they feel they should bash that club and discourage anyone from getting real facts. Grow up people and stop searching for utopia. Go read the coral springs threads and weston threads and they all reflect similar issues. The corruption lies in manipulative parents and people who forget that this is about finding a place where your kid can have fun and develop. Parkland is not a club it is simply a collection of teams. Make your evaluations based on a specific team and coach. Have you looked on the boys side? There are plenty of teams but who cares if they don't affect your kid? Only one or two teams should matter to you in the club. Parkland has a clueless board and coral springs has corruption and fighting going on within their board. Weston is losing all of its good coaches and I am sure there are problems at every other club as well. Aside from that u11 girls age group this season, most teams had a normal year without much drama. IB has retained and attracted kids and so has JC, CF, and RM. The only age group that had problems this year was the u11 girls. Since December, a few have gone elsewhere and some are still here. Everyone was at fault and te situation polarized everyone. People, move on if you do not want to be here. Go talk to the coaches and get facts before you make assumptions and conclusions. Every club has issues!

Again, sounds like a good argument for SAT. They won't appeal to everybody but their turnover has been nearly nonexistent and they keep growing. The point is that Parkland should be begging SAT to use their fields...they should farm the whole damned soccer thing out to SAT. Everyone who doesn't like their model will leave but appears to have happened already as it seems they will have between 2 and 4 teams next year.

That is a great "spin." Vision is unique from any club? Probably why he has been let go by every club he has ever worked for. Now, somehow, he is running a for-profit business out of a catholic school.

The board ravaged the Predators. Yes, many of them came, and are still coming, to SAT but they all came on their own accord.

Funny because most of the alleged 8 teams will not be the elite teams with elite rosters that compelled the board to initially show SAT the door. Now, it is suddenly ok for average athletes to train and play the game for fun. Philosophical change resulting from new cognition or just desperation?
