Having a daughter who plays HS soccer, (definitely not an All-Division or All-State player) for the fun of hanging with her friends and just purely enjoying the game, I think some of you parents are looking at your kids and RI HS soccer through "Rose Colored Glasses".
My daughter plays on good D1 team. She played youth soccer and some Premier. Having played myself I thought from day one Premier was a waste of money in RI! Too small a state with too many watered down teams. Mom and dad pay so little Johnny and Janey can say they are "Premier" players and they really aren't! Sorry! You are wasting your money!
I laughed after being introduced to this site and reading several forums and threads. Not all, but for the most part you sound like a bunch of bitter parents going back and forth. And you don't even spare the kids. Everyone is fair game here! lol You pick on the players because... your player isn't as good? You pick on the coaches,( who are paid peanuts to coach and are pretty much volunteers)...because your kid didn't make the team? Doesn't get enough playing time? And the only one that sees them through the Rose Colored glasses is you! You all have picked on referees as well. I don't think too many of you know much about soccer at all and need to put down those glasses and enjoy your child playing a great game! It's much more enjoyable that way! I don't see much strategy or positive feedback here either. Put down your rose colored glasses and swallow your bitter pills! lolComment
