Rather than a Coventry coach writing that his team's can't beat the privates, it seems to me that it should be a Lasalle or Hendricken coach writing an opinion piece complaining about the fact that their teams are stuck playing in a crappy league with terrible competition when they could be playing other private schools with better teams.

No one from Lasalle or Hendricken would have the balls to write a piece like that

In Mass the Catholic schools do not do any better than towns. The reason is the best players play in the Independent private school leagues.
Bayside boys is a whole new topic. Last great bayside team was jc team with all the scholarships players. Those days are gone, barely any scholarship players on the younger teams.Maybe they should join superliga?

How about the parents decide to pay for education instead of using the public school route for free (besides town taxes). It's their decision so let it be. Club soccer or club sports is where you decide what is best fit for your kid, not high school sports.
