ODP Question

US Club Soccer and USYSA are league affiliations, not club. Many clubs have teams in leagues backed by both organizations. They have nothing to do with a player participating in ODP.

Uh, no. USYSA and US Club are club affiliations AND league affiliations. A club will register itself and its players with either USYSA or US Club or both, if they want to spend the money. My understanding is that NEP clubs will no longer be registering their players with USYSA. And since ODP is a USYSA program, well, you can do the math.

ODP is good training and an opportunity for players to play with some of the best at their age regardless of club team. Opportunity also to play in a high level tourney.

If you have the money, go for it. More time on the field for the players who love to play is not a bad thing. Not for everyone though and the cost is a deterrant.

I have heard different things about a possible conflict but the ODP coaches I spoke to said it wasn't a problem.

So my daughter was at uri in the odp Id camp and I was talking to one of the coaches about how the team that scores more goals than it lets in is usually the winner if the game. I knew that these coaches knew what they are talking about, proving once again that my theory is accurate regardless of what some unitelligent people may think
