Any chance games get cancelled this weekend. Deerfield has cancelled twice already this Spring due to rain. It's a town call I believe, not an SRI call.

      Yes. There is a chance.

You really needed someone to answer that?

            Bruno has 11

And if you consider strikers/bayside they have 19

That's a remarkable number. Strikers/Bayside have more than Bruno and BWP combined and more than all the rest after that combined

Those numbers are nice but let's predict who will win their bracket.

That's a nice pat on the back there. Listen, its pretty obvious to most that overall, Bayside is the biggest most successful Premier Club in the state. But there are only like 4 other clubs to compete with, since its not fair to compare yourself to town teams. But I do think that once the NEFC RI teams gets off the ground next season, you may start to see them making an impact down the road as well.

Good luck to all teams this weekend!

This could be the last year that the premier clubs play in the state cup due to the NPL.

NEFC RI is already off the ground it's called Black Watch. You cant be that dumb? So having the same coaches, same facilities, same director and same teams with new uniforms is going to make an impact??? Not to mention they MIGHT pluck your best player for NPL leaving you with out your stud. You don't need to play NEFC RI to make an elite team they hold open tryouts. Bayside tried this with the bolts a few years back and you didn't see a mass exodus, yes a few players may have been lured away but not many. And that was a merger with an academy club who is considered one of the top youth clubs in the country.

If you are not willing to drive 3x's a week to Lancaster, Marlborough or Mt Ida just tryout out for Bayside. Trust me you will save yourself a lot of time and money.

Ok smart guy, actually they are not just staying the same. For starters, they are merging the older teams with NEFC SC which means that at those age groups, the best players from both clubs teams will actually make stronger top teams in each age group. Then there is the little fact that NEFC is MUCH more organized and has MUCH more money than Blackwatch ever was and could be, and you are crazy if you don't think that NEFC RI won't grow into a stronger program than Blackwatch ever was in the years going forward. Does that mean they'll upend Bayside as the top Rhode Island premier club ... no, all I said is that it was going to be stronger than Blackwatch as a whole ever was moving forward.

And yes, there is the new issue of the NPL going US Club which means SRI has got to seriously get creative with their State Cup plans next year.

Don't worry about state cup, Sri will do something to make it attractive for NPL and NEP clubs to participate. They don't want to be the laughing stock of USYSA. Not anymore than they already are anyhow

Do you really even have to ask that question ?
