NEFC probably wanted both RI clubs in rather than only one. That way they keep fighting for scraps!

i was happy for Bayside for 48 hours. Happy for RI players too. Now sad for both Bayside and Surf. Splitting the local players only makes those teams weaker. Neither Surf or Bayside were going to do well outside of New England but if it had been just Bayside vs NEFC then Bayside had a chance. Should have gone to NE Surf to spread out the regions. GA is letting in more dpl clubs and it’s grasping as straws. But this move hurt both Bayside and Surf even if they can’t see it yet. There’s a reason why top clubs like Stars want nothing to do with GA and why Select left that league. it’s going down and taking RI players with it. Would have been better if Bayside got ECNL, and Surf RI and NE Surf GA.

agree. one strong club is all RI can support. having 2 weak clubs is just more of the same stupidity.

Agree! This was only good for RI players if only one club got it. It wouldn't even have mattered which. With both getting it, either all the teams will be weak or certain age groups one club will be able to hang at the detriment of the other. What a mess!!!
