And yes, the professional coaches are not solely dedicated to that individual team, but I have yet to be a twice a week practice this winter where there was not a professional coach running the practice and assisting the coaches.
Ask twenty people and you'll get 15 different answers about what the level of a good premier program is. In RI, how many programs would that be? And don't give me the MAPLE qualification BS.

Really I wish the wannabees would stay off this thread at least - go back and argue about Portsmouth U12 stealing players from Mass would you - leave at least this thread to the big boys.
Kids don't commit to Syracuse without money as a sophomore.

Be careful with how you state things and get the facts before you post.

(And the answers came from people I know and trust to be knowledgeable, not just random strangers at practices.) I heard the same comments from parents from other states at the regional tourney in NJ, e.g. "our best players are being told not to bother with ODP and to just train with the club."
Hopefully with better Bayside players getting involved, the other premier teams will promote it. You always need one top club to promote it and get in and trust me the rest will join eventually. Bayside should be commended for at least trying to make it better with players and coaches getting involved.

Well congratulations to UMass Lowel for moving to the D1 America East conference. That is a huge step forward for the school and the womens soccer team. The NE-10 is a great conference too but the AE will provide some very tough competition. I know BU was moving to the Patriot League but did not know UML was able to take their spot, but good luck to them!

ODP has been such a joke for years and at least from my perspective and my daughters ODP team you have some pretty good teams on the girls side this year. At least a quality product you can put on the field and say that they all know how to play. In the past, there were girls that didn't even know how to play and came from town recreational teams. We would play scrimmages and get blown out by town teams in the past. I think it will give the players a place to show their talents and maybe get recognized.
