Simply put, the so called directors of the boys/girls programs need to meet with parents on a quarterly basis and survey how the club is doing, how the coach is doing and what can the club do better? This is not done enough or not at all in most circumstances. Who's fault is it? Well the club itself. It hires coaches or former coaches (or "founders")who have no clue on customer service. Their only concern is how to quickly fill the respective rosters and that is it. Once games/practices begin, you don't hear from them again unless they want more money (calendards..raffle tickets..etc).

It really is too bad because their are quality clubs out there who, with a little bit of "customer service is #1" mentality, could make their clubs very successful.
What is the story with Bruno's finances? They charge the most and offer the least but yet the last three things on their website are not about teams or players their about money. Advertise on our website, Bye a raffle ticket, fill out our roster's. I mean at this point in the year why woulde you pick anybody up how many strong players are out there just waiting to take your 16-18 roster spot.

I have to say as a bruno united parent the last few years have been discouraging and painful to watch. My son is a member of the U18 boys and has enjoyed many wonderful years of youth soccer and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. I don't feel like the current administration has done a terrible job JT for one is passionate about the club and works extremely hard to do what is best for the clubs future. I do however feel like the club has lost its way and has a different vibe then it once did. When we started the club was made up of mostly college coaches and was driven by player development and team and club unity. However we seemed to have lose site of those important values and began chasing state cup championships and are completely consumed by our rival Bayside... how many practice, strength training tournaments acceptance etc... When GM ran the club we had other issues like organization and lack of information which I feel have gotten better. Now finances, coaching staff and development seem to be are biggest issues.

I can remember my son coming home from practice at U14 talking about how they were learning formations and how to play with 4 defenders and how the whole club was doing it. Now coaches and teams hardly know each other let alone speak to each other what happened? I am not blaming the current coaching staff but what are the clubs goals who is leading them and directing them to accomplish those goals. what are we doing?

I can solve are cash flow problem in June. Fill teams I said FILL TEAMS with players and parents who want to be there and can afford to. We hand out way to many free rides to players who are uncommitted, disloyal and help accomplish very little. I am all about helping people with needs but when parents drive to practice in Escalades and the players have 300 cleats we have an issue. This is where the old regime has the new one beat we took full rosters with hard working athletes who paid to play and our coaches worked hard to make those kids better. Are current staff just wants to steal players from other clubs with free tuition and uniforms while cutting nice hard working kids who need a little work ( do your job).

In terms of development even I a 47 year old mother knows you are supposed to connect passes and build up play from the back. I have never played in my life all my knowledge came from hearing RL on the side lines and my son and husband on many long car rides home. when I watch out teams now I see players hitting long balls and feverish style of play.

Please go back to the old way of doing things or we will not stand the test of time we have tried to compete for state cups in the last two years and have very little to show for it. Let bayside when all the state cups they want they will for the most part travel to an unpleasant state like West Virginia and go 500 at best. Take players who want to learn rebuild our family atmosphere and club pride.

Too many organizations fighting for the limited families that can afford premier while still being able to support those that need financial assistance. Same with coaches, there are less available as more premiers are formed. Indoor facility fees have escalated and I am sure have the league and administrative fields. Soccer in Rhode Island has changed drastically in the past year & although there are more players playing premiere more teams has watered the pool. You need the Resourses to hire coaches, pay for additional practice time & while keeping costs down. Some clubs fund raise, some clubs charge an extra for every additional event. It is matter of how you want conduct business and in the limited but competitive landscape in RI it is still evolving.

I agree but Bruno mom has apoint if you are already covering the teams cost with 13 paying players and 5 free rides then 3 free and 2 more paying would net you additional $3600.00. at a rate of $175 per hour that would get you 20 1 hour trainning sessions. Now you have 2 per week instead of one. lets think about this if bruno is giving away 5 FR abd Bayside united is giving 5 now lusitana bayside FC and rams are giving 3 thats 19 per age group. Do you really think that many player need and deserve FR's

Not well written but not far off. I love how they leave Black Watch out of the free ride discussion. Everyone knows BWP is in it for the money now SC gave up on the super club dream. And good for him getting it done with paying players for the most part.

That's the same old Bayhole poster who needs a GED as they do not know how to properly use the letter S.

May I suggest watching Sesame Street when they feature the letter 'S' ???

Not a Bayhole, Brunite, or Black Cloud parent, but...While you praise JT for being passionate and working hard, and while those things are spot on, the issues you define, player development, training, commitment of players and families lay squarely on his shoulders. He simply has not gotten it done, if Bruno wants to return to what they were, they need change, desperately, immediately. Coaches with NO playing experience, in particular a young girls team from what I have been told. Boy what are those parents paying for?

I am on the boys side at Bruno but there are at least two teams U13 and younger on the girls side that the coaches never touched a soccer ball prior to coaching. I just don't know why someone would pay all that money to have their daughters play under that environment. As much as people say you didn't need to be a good player to coach but you have to at least be able to demonstrate how to properly do things and be able to play. The girls I think show the coaches how to do things. I watched one of the practices and its pathetic. How does someone with a clear conscious like JT allow that to happen. I hate to say it but I think the parents from the better players will move elsewhere next year.

The Bruno website says that JT is the coach of the U11 girls team and other than one coach who's profile is not listed - all the coaches have either college, HS or premier experience. There is absolutely no credibility to this statement.

Go watch a practice and see if coaches can kick a ball and participate in playing. Isn't that the coaching directors job. I thought i was watching a town practice. I agree JT is not the one I am talking about. I am not making it up. Not sure who they even are but two older guys. Not sure where these guys coached but it amazed me at how poorly the practice was organized and they couldn't demonstrate what they were trying to say. Complete chaos. I felt bad for them and the girls because it was awkward. Not sure what their credentials are but I said I think they have never touched a ball before because that's what it looked like. If these two guys coached high school or college, there is something wrong with the system or maybe they had a bad day.

We have good coaching on my kids team-the problem is we have two age groups and three coaches.

There is no way they can compete with the turnover on this team-there are talented players there but without some direction from the top-and nothing has been said to us at all since the season started-there is no way to build a team that can stay together for a while and get better as a team.

If someone at Bruno-maybe the head-would address this it would be helpful as we would like to stay but want to know why we pay the same as other clubs and get less practice time and zero conditioning-I don't know if we are paying for others on the team who pay nothing but I want to know if there is any kind of plan going forward

At the least could they at least figure out who is coaching the team?

                            It's a mess and its a shame
