EG sqeeks by Prout 1-0

What's up with Prout, I've seen two home games where they dominated both EG and SK and they can not get a ball into the net.

It's not like they don't generate offense, they had plenty of opportunities and pressure but they hit posts, legs, fall down, shot wide, hit goalie in stomach on breakaways.

Prout is a mystery and EG Is decent, but certainly not the big girls in D1 this year.

Undefeated = big girls in D1. EG is undefeated and expect to see them go far into the postseason if not all the way. They have the best defenders and can generate the offense when needed. Go away NK troll. How did your team do?

If you watched EG today and honestly gloat over being undefeated - that's just sad. They were outhustled, outmuscled, and outplayed the majority of the game.

Posts count as luck not good defense.

EG may be undefeated but anyone from Barrington up in standings has a 50/50 shot to beat them come playoffs.

It looks like next week will be as good as it gets for girls soccer in RI. EG faces NK and Smithfield. All 3 teams have found ways to come up short when it counts. Hopefully one of the 3 teams will step it up and demonstrate that they are actually the team to beat in D1. Otherwise, long live Portsmouth!

starting to feel sorry for prout, i've never seen the post hit so many times this year! They play great defense but just can't hit the back of the net

Actually NK-Cumberland and Smithfield-Toll Gate are big games today. Dont count out any ot these teams. Here are my predictions;

If you can't score goals you can't win, sounds simple enough. Teams that tie because of good defense and poor offense don't win Championships in soccer

EG and Prout can't score, maybe Pout hits the post 100x this year, irrelevant, if the ball doesn't go in it doesn't matter. NK and SF can score. LSA, EG, Prout can't. EG can't score goals on a small fields, on a big open field, where open space exposes teams that can't stay compact, maybe they can exploit the space. If not, they can not win a championship. Clearly EG attacking options not good enough. Perhaps SD should consider moving some of his defending players into attacking positions to generate some goals. He isnt going to get it done with the attack he has in place now, simply not good enough.

you were obviously not at the game. No one was triple teamed. EG simply got outplayed. Scoring has not been a hallmark of this team but to suggest that EG simply went for the long ball is wrong. EG played one of the best coached teams and came up short offensively and defensively. What is otherwise one of the best defenses in the state also came up short against a coordinated attack--not against a team playing kick and run. I predict Saturday's score

why would you want Lasalle to win? You should be hoping EWG crushes them and any other D1 team that they play, if they do. At least then you can say you only lost to EWG by a measley 2 goals.
