i was at this game--NK clearly has the strongest team that they have ever had. From the coach to pretty much every position on the field, NK has what it takes to get to the finals. I foresee one challenge--Lasalle. Other teams will give a good game, but NK has shown that they have what it takes this year acorss the board. Some humility woul dbe helpful but they are the real deal. Fly like a Skipper!

Enough with the LaSalle already - if you think they are the only ones to beat NK - just hand them the trophy now and call it a day because it aint going to happen.

East Greenwich is probably the most likely suspect to compete with NK. Problem with NK is consistency, they have a bunch of lazy players who check in and out. We'll see how they do when they start winning and taking teams for granted.

I look at that LaSalle roster and see girls that were cut by my kids premier team a couple years ago. Now they own 1 of the 18 coveted roster spots on the 17th best team in the country?

Toll Gate is a scrappy team with a couple really good athletes - and a bad coach.

Prout looked out of shape both physically and formation wise. Heard it was their first time even putting 11 players in a formation this season - coach doesn't believe in full field practices or scrimmages I guess.

Blonde striker for Prout looked pretty good but missed a couple open nets.

If you think that somehow Prout should have won that game by 2-3 more goals, you missed a good game. TG carried play for long stretches, that was about as evenly played game as you are likely to see. Maybe Prout isn't as good as people think, but also maybe TG is better than people think.

Portsmouth is a pretty good team. Smithfield had a good run last year, but I am not sure they are a lock for top two this year.

Sorry but AD alone on a breakaway and shooting the ball into the chest of a TG goalie with limited mobility and 16 yards out of the box is a missed opportunity. 9 times out of 10 against the best goalies in the league she walzes past and puts that away.

Refs helped out missing a clear advantage call with Prout forward alone in box.

Toll Gate is better than years past but I question the coaching decisions on time and substitutions.
