I would say their is plenty of offensive talent that remains in D1 when defenses are sub-par. Problem is that there are only a couple teams with sub-par defenses in D1.

In D2 and D3, most defenses are sub-par and if you have an offensively gifted team you will win 9 - 10 times.

In D1 you must have both - look at NK, they have no problem putting up 8 goals but when
they play a team with even moderate defense and decent offense (SK) they lose because their defense is soft and their offense doesn't get the same possession time.

Enough already. D1 has a few good teams. So does D2, and guess what, so does D3. Of the tiny population of soccer players in RI, there are about 5 players that might end up playing D1 in college if they want to, and many more that could easily play D2 or D3. It makes no difference what division they play in HS. It only matters where they play club soccer, and RI offers plenty of opportunities for the type of exposure that D1 college coaches are looking for. The recruiter did not ask our daughter where she played in HS and he didnt care.

Yeah, it's called defense. You don't see a lot of D2 or D3 but it does exist and it's a helpful part of the game.

Although, I must admit I do miss the days of U8 rec when my daughter scored 15 goals a game against her opponents who were spinning around in a circles staring at the sky with their cleats on the wrong feet wondering if they'd get a lemonade after the game.

Those were golden moments in her soccer career - I really do wish she played for EWG.

What a surprise EWG parents have a lot more class then you, I do not see or read any gloating. I am sure 10 hours later even dial-up modems are up to speed.
