PF without DA levels the playing field with other clubs, and if they don't get ECNL, they go back to town soccer. That ECNL patch is powerful, if they don't get in, it's bye bye college coaches.

PF is always in the forefront especially with girls soccer.
As others have pointed out, it never won a national championship in ECNL or GDA. But it was considered a top level club in both leagues having competed in championship divisions in both leagues for post season play.
Has a great turn out for try outs. Has great college placement history and success with kids actually contributing. And despite the lack of league hardware, has alumnae that are national champions in all college divisions.
Has had success with its alumnae in college, has very good coaches and still gets a great turn out at try outs and alumnae events.
In the summer, the girls come back for great training and to reconnect. That speaks about the club. That is a success.

If the club is known for developing (not just playing the same players), is a club that will not oversell a kid, is considered a quality club, coaches will come to watch with or without a patch.

They even ignore the facts that are staring them in the face with the lack of D1 college commitments coming from the local ECNL clubs, and are willing to except subpar training, coaching and development all bc a club is in the ECNL. It’s actually shocking how uneducated some people are.

These days are over if they don’t get in ECNL.
