You know something is right when the majority of your players come from the same area. You should always be developing your core base of players, and then adding from outside the club. If you are saying most of the players are coming from one community, and there are a core group of players, then someone is doing something right. Over the years in EPA the best teams have always had a nucleus of homegrown players. If you look at the majority of PIAA state champions on both the boys and girls sides you will find the majority of those players came from, or were currently in the same club system. What made Penn Fusion and FC Delco strong early on were the number of players that started from one team, and then they added to those teams to improve talent and depth, and there was always that core group of players, but that is not really happening he today. There is already a terrific base of players coming from within the FC Bucks club and many small area clubs to help maintain and strengthen the teams. If FC Bucks were run properly it wouldn’t take much to get them back to being the top girls club in EPA. Look at the results with the other two ECNL clubs the the score lines are not too far off. The boys side is a little more challenging for a number of different reasons but ever that could be improved.
FCB makes the Pennridge deals so they have a flow of families willing to write a check. It is never about developing children. FCB is a business and its main function is to enrich a few people within the club and grease the skids for their children. And before anyone gets the anti FCB idea, it's almost all youth soccer clubs in the area. Matchfit has their HS deals, PDA, Delco, and Fusion. It is one big incestuous family. But hey at least there isn't the Visa fraud and Tax fraud investigations going on as others are now dealing with

So says the #pennridgeproud parent!
When teams are picked because deals are made BEFORE tryouts ever happen you never end up with the strongest team. And when year after year players are kept and/ or added because they are friends that go to the same High school, and can contribute to the car pool to help with the hour drive - you never end up with a strong team. The results at bucks speak for themselves and considering bucks has been near the bottom of the entire ECNL the last few years - clearly the way they pick and train teams is not working.
I would be willing to be their isn’t another ECNL team anywhere in the country that has 9 of its 17 players from the same High School.

Here is one example Ohio https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...uY4GQwMfEn1vvc
But there are many more
