So it sounds like the general consensus is that the new guy's message about making the ECNL and RL teams closer is a bunch of crap. Maybe an RL player or two might play an ECNL game if they are needed due to injuries or other circumstances - which is how things are done today, but I find it hard to believe that he would carry through with sending a poor performing ECNL player down to the RL team. Parents would lose their minds if this happened. I think the only real difference will be closer coordination in terms of training - like training together frequently.

Why anyone would stick around is nuts go to USYS and play for state cups or go to HAL or another ECNL club if you want exposure. RL is nothing more than ICSL across state lines.
This is completely false. I know two girls that got full rides to a small Div 1 school and both played in the Northeast regional league. I'm not saying that USYS doesn't have good teams too but the Regional league absolutely provides college exposure. Honestly, competition for EPYSA State cups are completely diluted by U14.

People travel for practices sometimes 2 hrs each way. It is that simple. I have friends and their kids played at Penn Fusion ECNL.

Kids traveled from poconos area; maryland; lehigh county; berks county; bucks county; new jersey; harrisburg for practices. I recall a kid from buffalo ny area.

Yes players travel to clubs to play ECNL and the club training fields are located in the same area as the club...duh

Loser mentality that’s what the new DOC has to deal with. Hope it does not rub off on the new families coming in.

I hope these new coaches expose who you are and put you out of your misery.
Please tell me you’re a kid. Your post is a disgrace.

There are trolls on your board clearing trying to **** with you. If you actually are a parent on this team, and not a kid, then you have severe psychological issues. And I suspect you have a bigger stake on the team then you would ever admit.

Bottom line ... Bucks has a problem with turf space. They only have CRN turf and both CRS and CRN get priority on use of the turf. Seems like CM is going to try to run the club like a real ECNL club but that will prove to be nearly impossible if bucks does not get more turf space somewhere. There is no way teams will be able to practice three times a week if the only turf available is CRN. The club needs to be transparent to families as to where their kids will be practicing, its simple and if a family isn’t happy with the location then find another club. The key word is COMMUNICATION. People just need to be told what exactly they are signing up for BEFORE any money is exchanged. Simple really.

Don't worry we will be practicing at the PG so the 05 Ignite players can all play and commute to like the good ole Delco days.

Just like CM wasn't coaching and yet here we are coaching the 05.

                You all got played!

Agree and that’s fine with many people - the club just needs to let people know what they are signing up for. I think most will be ok with it as all anyone really wants is a good training environment with three times a week practices - if that means proving grounds so be it!

Sorry that’s not how this business works! The club needs your commitment (aka $$$) and they need it to be non refundable.

The post was directed to the goof who thinks it is too far for fc bucks lil mia to travel to Proving Grounds.. Like 45 mins away. It was to show that if you want to play for that club, you go where instructed. Plenty do it and the poster listed examples of kids that traveled from other states or all over to play for another club.

Part of the youth soccer process girls and guys.

Unless your kid is truly one of the top top players in the area (which they aren't because you'd be at PDA and wouldn't be subjecting yourself to this mess), there is absolutely ZERO reason to spend more than an hour each way in the car - assuming 3 trainings a week - that is 6 hours a week of car time. Your kid will be much better off using that time to focus on academics - the reality is, your kid is far more likely to get more money from schools for good academics than they ever will for soccer.

The original post was detailing info about my friend's kid on PF and kids on her team. Many on her team/club did quite well. PF has several kids playing pro. PDA not as many in recent years.

Any word on whether trainings will be held at Proving Grounds or possibly even Villanova?

You’ll find out when it gets announced. Hopefully not too much overreacting from people, just go with the flow.

It will be interesting to see what impact this decision will have. If clubs have tryouts, I would imagine you will see an exodus of a significant percentage of people who aren't willing to make the drive. If clubs aren't having tryouts, it may be difficult for people to find a decent plan B, so people may suck it up for the year.
