I think what you meant was you want it more convenient to you. Get a life and stop living through your kid! Yes there will be some Lower Merion kids coming to the club but that number will be a small percentage. If you want to play at this club then you do the drive or go play at PF or Delco.

PF and Delco are very close to each other. Proving grounds and Villanova are over an hour drive during work time traffic. This is a Bucks club and bottom line is CM will have difficulty filling out RL rosters if he moves trainings to that area.
Facilities are the achilles heal of FC Bucks. The Board put all their eggs in one basket - the new turf field at Council Rock South and the basket broke when the school district cancelled the project indefinitely. It is puzzling why FC Bucks didn't purchase the Trifecta Sporting Club and install Turf there when it had the chance.

He is going to have trouble filling RL rosters regardless of where they practice. Nobody is going to buy into waiting around for a mid-season call up. He is going to fail. I just hope it is relatively quick so we can move on and hire someone who has actually done this before.

Just want to make one comment. CRUSA did not put any eggs in one basket. I know for a fact that CRUSA was unwilling to make any financial commitment prior to the board initially approving the South turf project. CRUSA has been unwilling to financially invest for the last 10 years to better the club facilities. That falls squarely on Lew Spiewak. I'm not sure why he is such a highly paid employee. He 's been dead weight for years and should be gone with DM.

Parents would lose their **** if this happened, because god forbid their precious little Mia's be subjected to regular competition or be exposed as being weak players, but the answer to the RL problem is to switch to a player pool model. Let the girls all compete and let coaches choose the top 18, week to week, or month to month, or for tournaments, and those top 18 dress for ECNL games and tournaments, and the bottom 18 for RL.

That's a nice wish and is the story they are selling. The reality is once the rosters are set there is very little player movement within clubs. Couple that with the RL offering no exposure, and nothing to play for it shouldn't be a surprise that the league is bad. Why anyone would stick around is nuts go to USYS and play for state cups or go to HAL or another ECNL club if you want exposure. RL is nothing more than ICSL across state lines.

This is not reality and does not happen at any club. The RL team will be the same kids as last year unless kids leave. If there is a kid on any RL team that is excellent then they could play a game or 2 with their clubs ECNL team. But besides that not much movement between RL and ECNL.

I was thinking the same thing ..... ECNL as long as my kid is given a spot with a sleeve patch and as long as it is a convenient drive. Don't care about development, level or play, or cost!

Sadly this is true - RL kids are stigmatized as not good enough, and the view of them never changes no matter how much better they get. Pretty sad that at the age of 12 girls are placed on a team and never get a chance to move up. The smart ones would never accept the RL spot - you are better off going to another club and coming back to bucks to tryout for the top team - they always seem to pick an outside player before one of their own RL players - even when the players are similar or RL player is better. It’s just how it is, perception is reality. When your kid is RL they are perceived as not good enough for ECNL. PERIOD.

IMHO there shouldn’t even be an RL team just played EDP, way to much time and travel for the competition level of RL.

Perhaps they are simply doing what needs to be done and drastically increasing the player pool and, ultimately, the level of talent available to the club. While you hate to believe it, the club will do nothing unless it brings in a lot more talent. Coaches mean very little if you do not have the horses in the stable and the current talent level of the club is currently severely depressed. It is a wise move and sure to attract new and stronger players. The DOC is aiming to look good and bringing in better players is a surefire way to do it.

What a bunch of losers. If you or your kid wants to play for a certain club/team, you go where practice is being held. If it doesn't work, then pick a closer destination.

People travel for practices sometimes 2 hrs each way. It is that simple. I have friends and their kids played at Penn Fusion ECNL.

Kids traveled from poconos area; maryland; lehigh county; berks county; bucks county; new jersey; harrisburg for practices. I recall a kid from buffalo ny area.

Except we’re dealing with FC Bucks, a joke of a club who does not find it necessary to be transparent until after money is in the bank.

It seems strange that FC Bucks was unwilling or unable to purchase Trifecta, or that it was never able to negotiate a deal with Northampton Township to build a turf field at the Civic Center, or negotiate a deal with any number of local schools that have turf fields (e.g., George School, CB East, South, West

You are perhaps the most ignorant, uneducated parent alive,.. find a hole, crawl in it... such a F%^&ing baby, you must make your daughter proud...you hate it soooo much but yet you are sitting on an FC Buck 2006 blog... and your daughter still plays for the club and here you are still complaining... I hope these new coaches expose who you are and put you out of your misery.

Amen. If this person hates their RL experience and doesn't like 'waiting around for a mid-season call up' to an ECNL team then don't sign up for it!

                              Soccer is optional folks.

There is never a problem filling teams that get sleeve patches .... no shortage of new meat thinking that it is better than what they currently have. As kids get older, the RL teams (any B team at a club) tend to get weaker and weaker though as they consistently lose a top player or 2 every year and replace it with someone from a lower-tiered team. Either they get promoted to the A team or they test the waters and do make an A team at another club .... still others also take stock in where they are and get disgusted and just dont come back to that team (for another smaller club or even back to travel). It erodes the talent over time for sure, but there are always multiple players willing to take another kid's spot that left. I am all for trying to get better and moving to a bigger club's B team, but never for more than a year ... if you can't get over the hump by then, it will never happen.
