Can someone post what coach Rich Finneyfrock does to make the girls and the team better? What’s his coaching style? Do the girl’s genuinely like him and is he hands on with them? Thank you.

At least 2 of those losses (to PDA) happen no matter what as PDA is a very good team. But the loss to Match Fit as well as the draws against PDA White, Maryland, Bethesda and Delco were all winnable games. In fact last year, this team did beat those teams. So this team could easily have a record of 6 wins 2 losses, which likely puts them in second place right behind the top PDA team. It also has them qualifying for ECNL playoffs. The talent is there for this to happen. The difference between being at the bottom of the pack where this team is at now, and the top of the pack where it easily could be is very simple. This team barely trained this year. It had an absentee coach, and was more or less coached by a dad instead. You look at the other ECNL teams we play, and I can guarantee you each and every one of them trained more than we did and was coached by a professional coach with no influence from an unlicensed and unqualified parent coach.
The choice is simple, if your cool with being mediocre compared to your ECNL peers, not making ECNL playoffs, but being able to brag about a patch and a ranking, then the status quo is good, if on the other hand, you believe that this team has the potential to do much more than it is currently doing, then you should be contacting the club every day demanding change.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostNo. Sadly we are too afraid of repercussions. But we know that people are reading this board, and believe that if more people spoke out against the status quo on here rather than tried to defend the indefensible, than perhaps the tide would turn.

And it sounds like there many of you that are demanding change. I’m so curious to see what happens next year and hope you all keep us outsiders posted.
Can someone please respond to my question about tour coach? Thank you.

Team (parents) are unhappy and the players are afraid of him. He doesn’t seem to be involved and relies too much on the assistant coach who is also A father of one of the kids on the team.

The coach is eh. Neither here or there. Not much communication with the girls. My daughter is easy going and can take him or leave him. Not sure she’s become a better player because of him necessarily.

He has never given my kid an ounce of feedback and from the other parents I talk to he hasn’t given their kids feedback either.
He is an A licensed coach and has been very successful on the high school front.
This post is not bashing - just stating the Gods honest truth - and anyone who has a kid on this team knows this to be true. It is what it is.
