Really though since Rutgers doesnt care and the NCAA doesnt care you shouldn't care either. Especially, since no rules are being broken.
That's what the Loughlin's are saying too.

PSU Abington is a state school, best deal in PA, and the degree says PSU, not branch campus.

No one is saying it isn't. You need to follow the discussion. Many state schools are great schools. Some are not. Some are D1; some are D2 and some are D3. NJ is a state school and has it's main campus (which is D1) and others that are not (D3 - like Rutgers - Camden). Btw - it also says Rutgers on it's degree.

What are you talking about? D3 money is financial aid; some don't qualify. D1 is scholarship money and more (books, travel $$, stipend - P5 stuff).

This is just one of many many quotes from a parent on your FC BUCKS team. It’s does your club no good and this team no good to have childish bully parents publicly shaming another parent because her kid didn’t make the team. These post went on for weeks. People read this, I am one of them, and there are other threads now being started to shame those parents as well, which is why I am speaking out.

I am going to continue to post (when I have the time) more of the bully parents posts from this team if only to highlight their blatant ill will and immaturity. The coach threatened them to stop, and it continued. Just thought you should know.

How does D3 money not qualify?

New in this thread but how do you know that post was a parent of a certain team or even a bucks parent? Are you able to explain that? This is all written by “unregistered”. It could be anyone.

The person you are responding to has no clue how the system works. There is a ton of money out there for D3 athletics beyond financial assistance. Lets hope he figures it out before he screws it up for his kid.

Having sent multiple kids through or currently in the system already, I think I have more of an idea than you think. D3 is no athletic aid. Money elsewhere? Absolutely. Same for D1 & D2, but you can add athletic aid in the mix as well. And all of my kids (athletes) have or will have very little to no debt.

Financial aid is based on need per federal guidelines. If you make over a certain amount of money, you are out of the running. The school can have a sliding ruler, but that varies per school. And, if player is eligible for academic awards, $$$ can be found here as well.

This club has a college night. Go to it and ask questions. They are very informed and provide very good information/guidance.

In girls soccer there is more D-I money, so there is a chance that an average or less than average player can get money at the D-I level and this happens often. But money in the boys game is far less, and often D-III private schools can put together a better package that makes it worth playing at the D-III level. D-III state schools can't find you extra money as a soccer player, the costs are what there are, but they are pretty good. Private college programs can knock down costs with internal scholarships, but even with a good package, they still don't compete with the state schools as they build the loans into the package, making it look like you get a nice discount, when in the end you will be paying for it. As for boys players, PSU Abington and PSU Berks are both great local lower cost options.

So are community colleges (some have athletic programs), you can figure out what you want to take educationally at a well reduced overall cost and then take your remaining and eligibility (and credits transfer) to a D1, D2 or D3 program. Plenty of good options out there.

This was in response by a current parent - to a poster who wrote Brian Brossman thumbs down. How is this acceptable to you?

This is what many kids do these days. Most credits taken at a Community colleges do transfer over to a D1 or 2, 3 school. But not all so you need to do some research at the school you want to transfer to.
