To be fair to DC, the board blocked pretty much everything he wanted to do. He tried to bring in more professional standards and was shut down at every turn. DC was trying to build something different from the old boy crony network. It was a political move to get rid of him, and not one based on a soccer reason, is something that no one questions or disputes.
The board wanted to move into the direction of HS coaches who can help the children of the board at both club and HS levels. The idea of building a top level soccer club is not their main priority.
The culture of the club, maybe even moreso on the 06 team than others, is toxic. This stems from the top and goes all they way through every team. The club is built around cronyism, political deals, and encourages the building of cliques to protect individual interests.
The problem is systemic at Bucks. The individuals are merely playersComment

Honestly, this sounds the same across the board in youth soccer. Everything is very premeditated and political. Coaches enable the clique culture and end up catering to only a handful of players that they feel fit their needs. Just read any of the threads on this page about the different teams and you’ll realize it’s everywhere. There is 0 self awareness or accountability with coaches. Always blame placed on everyone else. One big reason for this is how the system rewards coaches. Bring a large following with you to another club and you will probably get a raise when you jump. Clubs recruit coaches who have a following and complain when their coaches jump ship for the next best thing down the block.
