There were talented outside players both inside and outside the club turned away that were clearly more talented than some that were given spots. Those outside kids never came back... and now they are stuck with the mess they created. The team could have been very strong if real tryouts from the beginning had been allowed, instead you are stuck with all the parents kids who brokered the deal and their friends. Bucks has not added one impactful player since the team started because nobody wants to join the team with the shenanigans that go on. All of the really strong 2006 players that wanted ECNL went to Delco and it’s showing in Delco’s record. The irony the same parents that chose bucks didn’t go to Delco bc Delco wouldn’t agree to their terms of all or none. KARMA!
Wait, Bucks charges players for tryouts? Seriously?

It’s crazy, other clubs are doing the same...branches all over the place. Totally watering down the landscape.

My kid plays ECNL at a very large club (not whatever NJ club or clubs that a poster was referring to earlier). At her club there are different regions but all within a 40-50 minute drive. The teams in those regions are not ECNL or ECNLR, and the “main” club location also has teams that are in leagues below ECNL and ECNLR. There are 10 teams in my kid’s age group. The club has teams that play at various levels. How does that water down the landscape? You think that a kid that isn’t playing ECNL shouldn’t have a place to play?

The Bucks ECNL parents on this board seem to be pretty arrogant—I’ve never heard parents at our club crap on our own ECNLR teams. Given Bucks standing in ECNL, I don’t think there’s a reason for you guys to be quite so judgmental. Maybe that comes from being at a club where teams are apparently not chosen on merit alone. But I assure you, most ECNL clubs are run VERY differently.

Tommy C is the one that is constantly bashing the RL team - he thinks he’s funny - news flash he’s not. He is so far up BB butt he can’t stop himself. Most of us find it abhorrent - the rest of us want to know if he spits or swallows. God knows he performs some kind of favors.

I just saw that the ecnl team is a cute little flection of lifelong friends .... Anyone in the group can play .... You don't even have to know how to play soccer to get .... Just have to know the right people.
