FC Bucks 2006 ECNL - Girls

The BRD as salacious as it sounds didn't go down as depicted on here. The fact is FC Bucks since their partnership with DR and even before the partnership always went and spoke with the rising U13 families as far back as the current Sr class. The animosity is misplaced. You should be angry that CRUSA does not develop kids which makes FC Bucks rely on outside talent. Fix CRUSA at the U-littles and you will see immediate improvement.

Look there is no sugar coating of the BRD - I wish I had never agreed to go along with it, I was skeptical about taking my kid to bucks all along - and was hesitant to accept the offer for my daughter. I was torn between letting her stay with her friends or going to another club. I knew Bucks did not have the best reputation and there were other closer clubs. To this day I wish I had listened to my gut and not accepted that offer. It was pretty clear at tryouts there was some good talent and it was obvious not everyone that was given a spot on the team in the back room deal should have been. I regret that I was part of the back room deal, I went against what I knew was right because I wanted my kid to stay with her team - we all would have been better off if the girls had gone through the regular tryout process, because to this day the stain of the back room deal haunts this team. And karma has come to bite us all because what we signed up for is not what we got. I really do think the only path forward for this team is a fresh start where there is no back room deal hanging over us. Hindsight is 20/20 and I’m pretty sure most of us wish we had just let the girls go through the regular tryout process.

Better yet. Ive got a solution for those that are fine with a dad coach, training once a week and handpicking a team based on friendships - go play for almost any rec league club because thst is clearly what you want - certainly not ecnl.

Cuz ECNL where it’s at, guaranteed D1 vs RL, no brainer

This post is meant to feed the trolls I hope! I don’t think anyone on this team thinks ECNL means guaranteed D1 - especially with the lack of quality and quantity of training this team receives - I know a lot of us are just looking for our kid to dominate in high school, that’s why we are ok with a parent coach and one practice a week. We aren’t really going for D1 ball, just want a good competitive local travel team that as a bonus has a patch.

Why does everyone think Bucks is holding a town hall and sent out a survey to gauge people’s satisfaction with the club?

My personal opinion- I think member satisfaction across the whole club is at an all time low. I think the problems with the 2006 age group are just symptomatic of the problems that are going on club wide. There was an email sent to all teams asking people to please not contact the ECNL headquarters with club issues the email asked people to go to the club and not go to ECNL, clearly people must have been contacting ECNL complaining about bucks. I really think Bucks is at an all time low and needs to get their act together before they are booted from ECNL.

What are others thoughts?

So here’s a question. What happens if the dad assistant daughter doesn’t make the team next year. Will he leave to go be her coach on whatever team she is on? Maybe then all your issues will go away.

They will not want tbe parental baggage. Word gets out about the parents long before a kid shows up for try outs. Nobody wants your parental ship show. Fact.

That’s funny. Those clubs don’t have issues like the ones at FC Bucks because they send you packing. Although issues are not as prevalent at those clubs either because they have professional coaches and better leadership than FC Bucks, which isn’t saying much.

My daughter knows what went down, and knows we made a mistake - everyone makes mistakes and we live and learn from them.

I hope the team gets a fresh start which will include a new coach and real tryouts. We will let the chips fall where they may and if she makes it great, if not that’s fine too, and no I’m not going to the town hall - it’s a long drive and we do that enough.
