Because of this dad’s role in the “backroom deal” and his friendship with BB, his daughter plays where he wants her to play – Position X.

Point is, unless you undo the “backroom deal” and get completely rid of BB, and a passive RF who lets this stuff happen, this team will never live up to its potential and will fold within 1 year.
75% of all issues, if not greater, could be resolved with a qualified DOC. Since there aren’t any regulations in place, clueless coaches are going to do what they want, and make mistakes. No leadership at the club. Wait until the ECNL season starts for the entire club, the fireworks are coming soon!

So be it...if that is what has to happen to start to give the club and team some more credibility then let it happen....and BTW the team will look a lot different with many of these girls playing HS ball next year or starting to concentrate on one sport and horrors.....to you people who think their kid is playing soccer in college.....it won't be soccer that they concentrate on

Imagine the lessons we would all teach our daughters if we as parents came clean to them; explained to them how the team was formed; explained to them that the team has not been run in a fair manner where hard work and skill is rewarded; explained to them that because of what transpired, next year BB wont be returning and neither will RF; and then explained to them that tryouts will be conducted by neutral evaluators who dont know them, so they all must work hard, and show the people evaluating them that they actually deserve a place on this team. Some will make it. Some wont. Those that make it will know they EARNED it. Those that dont make it will understand that if they work hard at improving, perhaps they can try again and will make it in the future. Today none of this exists. If you make this team today, you know it wasnt because you were necessarily good enough and there really is no incentive to work hard, and if you didnt make this team, you know that no matter how hard you train and how much you improve, you will never make it unless you have the right connection to the dad coach or to certain players. The result is that the entire age group is stagnating.

If the Club actually did this, you would substantially improve this team. As an unintended consequence, you might also improve the ECNL-R team as well. And girls would definitely learn some major life lessons that they could take with them beyond soccer.

To bad that would never happen....BB doesn't think he did anything wrong especially since he had RF and the DM as part of the backroom deal....maybe they should suspend the ECNL team and the girls from the ECNL team and go with the ECNL-RL team...which is doing ok in the standings...and the way that most of you talk about the ECNL-RL you would think that they are a bunch of intramural players, nothing could be further from the truth...there are girls on the team that are on ODP, ones that put in more work than some of the ECNL girls and have to work for their time because the coach is a fair coach

Anyone find it telling that none of these parents on this thread are defending the dad coach? This says a lot. Sorry.

Every single parent who believes in their daughter's abilities, and who believes that their daughter is good enough to stand on their own and actually EARN a spot on this team should be advocating for this. If not, and you prefer to artificially prop them up, and keep them from failing and keep them from having to do the hard work necessary to achieve success, then you are a ****ty parent - and eventually when you can no longer prop them up, your kids will fail miserably.

This will certainly not happen...that was one of the reasons for the "backdoor deal"...parents didn't trust their daughters abilities and made the conscious choice to screw players that should have been on the team if the team had been picked on ability.

Are you going to be advocating for this and have your daughter step aside until she can EARN a spot??

Another way to look at is that there was not a single CRUSA kid who was a "must have" where as Deep Run had 3 ior 4 kids who would have made any ECNL team in the conference. FC Bucks did the correct thing by keeping that team together.

(ps. When was the last time any of the CR schools have been relevent?)
Speaking directly to Mr. Laughlin: How do you know who were the “must haves?” Based on what? And Coach Finneyfrock told his entire crusa team he regretted the cuts, after guest coaching the Deep Run team. This is public knowledge. Ask him. So get off your high horse and admit your daughter made it because you cheated for her.

Your team is now “relevant” but not in a positive way. Shame.

Now that the cat is out of the bag and it’s known to all that all these posts are from jealous 06 npl parents, this thread has lost all its steam. Your daily insults to 13 year old girls and also the coaches and parents of this team are sad and probably why your daughters didn’t make the team. I was a coach in the past (not soccer) and I had to look over some kids because of their parents. Coaches don’t want to deal with disrespectful, nasty parents. YOU ruined it for your kid, no one else, which is something you’ll have to come to grips with.

No doubt that npl parents read this thread. And I’m sure some have posted on here. Unfortunately it’s all related. BB has destroyed an entire age group at FC Bucks. So it is only natural that you would see complaints from ECNL parents on here about things like missed practices, dad coaching, and a checked out RF and likewise it’s not surprising that npl parents whose kids were looked over because of the BB led back room deal would pile on and post on here as well.

It’s all npl parents commenting. Besides Trent.

Read past months comments. It’s the same post written 30 different ways. Sad.

Wow...you really are living in a fantasy world....newsflash the parents from the ECNL-RL team are still friends with the parents of the ECNL parents...but why do you think this entire thread is from the ECNL-RL team....many of the parents I know (from both teams) are not nasty, or disrespectful but I will say MOST of the ECNL team parents and girls included are stuck up snobs that do not like competition when it comes to tryouts...the backroom deal was made with no regard to how it would affect the ECNL team in the future...

I know YOU are a ecnl-rl parent. And look how you talk about 13 year old girls. Wow you are so tough on here talking about girls this way. You are very disrespectful and nasty (just reading your post tells us all that). Glad your not on this team and never will be. YOU ruined it for your daughter. One day you’ll realize that.

Guess the “it’s all an npl parent” angle is the new “it’s the crazy lady who left for the Ukies” angle that was so popular several hundred posts ago. Who cares who said what when all of it is 100% true. Always easy to attack the messenger than actually refute the substance when it’s true. Just another deflection tactic. By the way nice turn out to practice tonight - only 7 girls.
