Guess it is the last time any teams from our club is going to this money grab (more than most money grabs).

Sure Delco will just say it is not them and is the people that own the fields and blah blah blah. But the email sent out talked about the place upgrading their field and such. Isnt that what the $1400 is for? $400 in ref fees, some insurance, what else?

When did Delco know about this? It HAD to be in their contract. Never been to a place where they made us pay for parking. Wonder if Delco teams have to pay for parking
First, they have 2x dozen locations, are they charging for all of them? Are they even allowed to charge at the public schools? Second, why would anyone want to do this showcase when 90% of college scouts are at ECNL NJ with a few trickling over to the PDA Showcase?

Players Cup is good for younger ages, but all scouts are definitely in Somerset this weekend. The Parking fee is only at United Sports and just this is the first time they are charging for soccer but have been charging for field hockey and lacrosse tournaments for a couple years. To those complaining about tourney fees, remember lacrosse and field hockey tournaments on those exact same field cost $2500+ so we are lucky it is only $1400 for soccer.

keep in mind the DELCO financial model is not ideal. They do not own any tangible assets and have to seek out rentals for training, games, and tournaments. Ever wonder why there are several teams training on same field ? The tournaments are only way to generate the revenue necessary to pay Directors and other staff. Can you imagine the outrage if these costs were passed onto parents. I am sure Proving Grounds is aware of the need DELCO has to rent and raises cost accordingly. We all tournaments are fund raising events, eventually cost to attend is going to reach breaking point.

Seems like it is USTC. no different than playing games at Spookie Nook.

Then you state that up front. Not spring the parking fee on people the week before the tournament

USTC... get used to it. They are going to start charging for games and practices. The Kiosks are up and ready. Yes they do have the right to tow. It's their property.

I hope traffic isn't a nightmare. Since it already is.

Delco has a contract with them. It is their fault. So they probably paid a lower fee for the fields in exchange having a parking fee (to hide the real costs until the last minute).

Either way, our last year at Delco Tournaments

Every tournament going forward will charge for parking at USTC unless the host club agrees to cover parking which will never happen. The townhomes next to it are trying to get the township to put no parking signs all over. Plus now that the liquor license is almost approved, you'll have even more drunk parents creating more traffic there. What a mess.

They are planning to sell drinks there?? wow ... hopefully clubs will pull out from this already horrible spot. I was not planning on giving any dime to them after all the parking chaos we go through every time we are there ...maybe will just walk from the nearest shopping center ...

You can have some of my "iced coffee" anytime if we happen to be at the same tournament. All of the tournaments my kids attend are treated as a BYOB restaurant. Keeps the cost down too.
