Agreed, the whole indoor facility thing is nonsense. In hundreds of cold places around the world, kids train outdoors year round. Bottom line, the training at SUSA stinks. Almost all the older kids were trained elsewhere and then joined SUSA when KK and Albertson fell apart. If KK and Albertson still existed as they did 4 years ago, there wouldn't be a SUSA.

Weird, where were all the LISC and Barca kids trained, because neither one of those clubs existed either 4 years ago...

If the training at Susa stinks so bad, the homegrown 7v7 and 9v9 U-little SUSA teams shouldn’t be dominating their age groups on the girls side like they have been. That’s just weird logic.

You're boo hoo-ing because a club that is currently dominating their ECNL conference, in a season where most of the kids were pulling double duty with HS ball...when nobody else was, that already has multiple conference championships from year 1, against the likes of long-standing top clubs like PDA and FC Stars, was the top choice club in NY to replace another club that wasn't fulfilling ECNL expectations and obligations???

If you were at Alby at the time, you would know this is true. Riley's money grabbing got the best of him. Kicked out of ECNL? No problem. Create 2 DA clubs with subpar players, and lose both if them. Opens the ECNL door for Susa, plus taking Alby players as they get older. Win for Susa, win for Riley as he flees NY without telling his customers, loss for Alby as a once great club is dead.

I don't disagree, that's how it always should have been geographically, but it only happened because of Rileys antics.

Lots of sour grapes on this site...I couldn't care less about what they may or may not have done 5 years ago. All I know is in 2 years in ECNL, Susa is freaking dominating the league and my kid got an incredible offer from a school where we never dreamed she could play or attend, in a year where the world came to a stop because of a pandemic. Sure, maybe if my kid was C team level and her town team broke up because the better kids left for Susa, I might feel differently...but she's not, so I don't.

Harvard, Yale, or Princeton? Congrats.

After a fast start to the tournament game it looks like SUSA tournaments are a bust. The last showcase was not well attended and the Memorial Day Tournament was a complete failure.

Do you think clubs are avoiding SUSA tournaments because of how unethical they are?

The Feb was STUPID and a huge waste of money but I am sure SUSA made a lot from it
