100% transparency on any donations over $1000, including ALL PACs. No more hiding big donor or corporate donations (especially corporations; they're NOT people)

So, less time to educate a moronic electorate (btw, limit on length of campaign would require constitutional amendment), less freedom of speech (also requiring constitutional amendment), and a transparency rule that could be easily manipulated simply by splitting donations into smaller portions. Lets see, I would grade those suggestions as an D- as proposals to overcome the problems you identify (and that grading is generous).

Having to continually finance is a big part of the problem. People sell their souls because they have to constantly raise money to run to stay in office another term. House reps especially start making donor calls as soon as they are sworn in. Trump started his re-election campaign the day after he was sworn in, maybe even earlier? Meaningful campaign finance reform could go a long way in this country. The amount of money spent could finance small countries. It also takes too freaking long. Other countries elect their leaders in months, not years. Voters get sick of it all - the money, the non stop ads and bickering.

Look, candidates whore themselves in all kinds of ways, including being popular after they leave office so they can make lots of money. Obama never did an economically productive thing in his life, but is now worth well over $100m Why? Because he adopted positions calculated to make him popular so that he could sell his book and get obscene money for speaker fees.

We have last 3 practices canceled from the weather and unless they get snow removed from turf i guess it will be another missed week or two and a bunch more missed practices.
