It does if the only reason USWNT picks you to play is because you are Asian, it attracts Asian fans and interest, and that is good for business too...

This is really not that hard to comprehend
No. "White" and "Asian" are different. "White" refers to a racial trait (skin complexion) whereas "Asian" refers to a geographic location. Chinese, Indian, Filipino, etc have different racial traits.

"Asian" is more equivalent to saying "European" or "African". They are not races, they are geographic labels.

I'll put it to you this way: Are Harold and Kumar the same race? They are both Asian.

When it comes to pro sports - business is business. Sports are entertainment and the fans have to want to pay to watch the game. Kapernick can be the greatest QB out there, but no team will hire him if he can not bring in the bacon. IF you seriously want to b a pro - talent is not enough. You need to sell the tickets.

But this thread was not about pro soccer - the are youth clubs being discussed. That is pay to play soccer - not anyone paying a player to play.

Yeah, because Asian sports fans are a huge market segment for soccer, especially in the US. lmao!

This is why back of the net and NY talking soccer mean ****. Just enjoy the time with your son or daughter. It will be over sooner than you think.

Normally, I'd agree but every thread is being hijacked with political BS and the NYCFC Bulldoggie Daddy is CONSTANTLY referencing the NT player who is Asian. I don't really think anyone cares that much if Susa buys another little town club.
Fury was a big deal because it was probably the most successful & storied program that LI ever had (before it got run to the ground), but buying up little EDP clubs to build their revenue is old news. I don't live on Long Island and had to look them up, they look ok.

There is zero going on between Smithtown and SUSA, zero. Smithtown is part of Slammers which is a significantly bigger and better organization than SUSA. Slammers has several national championship teams, has been ECNL club of the year several times, including last year I think and currently has player(s) on the USWNT (Christen Press), so why in the world would Smithtown, who just entered into its agreement with Slammers last year, reneg and join SUSA. Answer, they wouldn't and they're not. People forget, up until last year SUSA wasn't anything. Last year was their first year of being competitive as a club and that's only on the girls side, the boys side at SUSA still isn't any good. So please, whoever started this idiotic rumor, stop, you're embarrassing yourself.

What a minute....what does Smithtown have to do with the Slammers or ECNL. Smithtown has 0 to do with ECNL. What exactly is there connection to either Christen Press or the Slammers which s a west coast club.Your playing this town team up like it’s a big deal.....they are not. As far as SUSA being nothing, well, they play n the top league ECNL. What league does Smithtown play?

LMAO keep drinking that koolaid!! Christen Press????? The fact you need to throw a name out there is desperate and embarrassing.

Hide behind the slammers name as much as you like. Same coaches, same players, same results.

ECNL is taking over. In the current situation they want to make more local ECNL teams. Less travel. Moving forward there will be ECNL A and B. Then the regional teams. Less traveling more local competition if you can call it that. The world as we know it is upside down and clubs are scrambling to make it work.

I heard at smithtown on the girls side alot of teams are pissed about the last 2 seasons of jerk around and excessive driving to be in the EDP leagues they were in. Most of the parents really just want to be in LIJSL and stay local. They do it because they are under the ether about how great it will be for their kid and college.
                              how naive they are.
