no, EB-5 isn't common -- it was abused by developers who either overpromised and failed to deliver (see Jay Peak), or were friendly with their local pols and gamed the system to get capital cheaper than the markets would provide. both have repurcussions -- foreign investors wised up and demand higher rates of return (north of 10% I hear) and congress has tightened up the guidelines (and increased the minimum amounts to obtain the visa). traveling all the way to Cambodia to pitch to *one* investor reeks of desperation.

You sound desperate and scared. why? It’s odd that someone would spend so much time and effort attacking Barca. If you don’t like it/then don’t have your kid play for them. Maybe you don’t have kids playing and lost revenue to the academy.

Barca doesn't do themselves any favors. They provide a constant stream of negative talking points for this forum to discuss. If it was one or two stories, sure, we could write it off as a couple of people with agendas and axes to grind but it's always more then that. I have been following this forum since its inception and BOTN for several years and from what I have read about this club and conversations with parents that play there it's not all peaches and creme. The club does an amazing job covering up its shortcomings and has acquired a dedicated slew of parents that "police" these forums. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter what type of smokescreen or noise they create to distract or bury very relevant negative posts about Barca it's my belief that where there's smoke there is a fire. Barca has peaked.
