Now you’ve made me shoot my coffee out of my nose. Geez. She was only offered a spot because of who her daddy pays to train her. That only got her so far though

How do you know the training at WCFC isn't at "the same level"? It's the same coaches, mostly the same players, the same facilities, etc. What has changed?

Wait, what? "They forced all the players to choose between ECNL or leave"? What would the other option have been? All they did was change leagues to allow for players to play high school if they wanted to.

Is that WC Girls director still in charge? Friggin' loon that guy is....
Kaz is pretty much running the show for the ECNL teams except for the U18 team and the U19 Composite team. The loon isn't even coaching a team this year, he is "assisting" the coaches for the teams Kaz isn't overseeing.

That u19 ecnl team is pretty much the leftovers from the 01 NPL team, so D3 is pretty much all they ever wanted. Many of the NE ECNL clubs aren't even fielding U19 teams. wcfc has their U18 ecnl team which has a bunch of D1 commits.

True, the d1 commits on that team are incredible, Duke, Stanford, UNC, UCLA, USC, FSU, and others, just goes to show how hard work pays off.....

Not sure what your expectations are for D1 commitments from the Northeast, but I am guessing they are unreasonable.

Yeah, schools like Marist, Fairfield, and Wagner are bad even for NE players, I totally agree.

Schools like Marist, Fairfield and Wagner are not great for NE ECNL and GDA teams. Not bad for local USYS & NPL teams tho

Are these really all that different from UConn, Pittsburgh, or others where most NE players are going?

C'mon, think before you open that piehole and spew stupidity. The majority of ECNL and GDA do not play on top 50 (heck top 100) teams as there are so few spots every year and so many players. In any given year the top 100 D1 teams average less than 400 total scholarships!! With 75 or so ECNL clubs of only 20 kids each, that is 1,500 kids per graduating class ..... add in another 1,500 or so for GDA .... oh yeah, and now add in anohter 1,000-2,000 internationals .... do the math. Marist, Fairfield, and Wagner are LOADED with ECNL (and soon GDA as well) players .... LOADED!!!

Where the hell are you getting these wacky stats??? So you're saying each top 100 team gives an average of 4 scholarships. Doesn't make sense. And then average of 10 to 20 internationals each? Please stop....

Top programs can get top players from around the country and even the world (more so men's programs than women's). Mid to lower level programs are more likely to have a roster that reflects their general student body - mostly students from the region not all over. A more regional school like Marist or Fairfield will not get much interest from FL, CA or TX players.
