For some kids, yes, that is the case.

      Commitment.

Enjoy apple picking. We've made a commitment to the team and she's learned to honor it. Will carry her through life.

          You do you.

                  BWAHAHAHAAA! Well played.

Hey, some kids (and their moms) like for reasons to "not to", and some look for reasons "to".

Totally up to each family to do as they want. Just remember all you "not tos"...there's a "to" ready to take over.

I don't think the club gives a shlt. They get paid either way.

they want to get paid and they want to win. If the player is good, she can go to the first communion and still play and play well, if a player is weak, she can miss the first communion and still sit on the bench and be weak when she goes in.

Picking blueberries is hard work, that’s what migrants are for, no?

You do your 1st Communion in 2nd grade. Younger players shouldn't be losing PT over that. PT in the younger ages should be close to equal, then slowly dialed back going into MS and by HS it's earned. Now a HS player missing practice or a game because a cousin's 1st Communion? No. But a once every decade family reunion or sibling's wedding or graduation? Sorry my kid isn't missing the big events. You can't get those back.

Soccer playing girls are as capable as any migrant of hard work. hard work is for all.

Of course you cant and good luck finding a player that will skip their graduation or a sibling that would be permitted to skip a family graduation for a soccer practice. Maybe for an important game but maybe not.

That kind of nonsense comes from the club or maybe a very rare soccer parent that has lost it a little bit.

Just so frustrating dealing with this. Always kids who's parents always come up with something to avoid commitment. And, that's fine. There's plenty of leagues for that. Meanwhile, teammates are out there busting ass and then have to deal with complaining why the kid isn't playing.

Just pick a league with a like-minded attitude and move along. You're just wasting every else's time.

Preach! And that doesnt mean missing the big family events!
