Actually, fury sucks as a business entity for so many reasons and we don’t want to be there.
They don’t treat the majority of kids and their families right and do t deliver on their contract and responsibilities.

just dumb on so many levels. parents seem to think that every kid should reach the same level at a club because they pay the same amount. They also think that a kid being selected for YNTs at a young age makes that player great.

Whatever that player is getting out of the game, i sure the biggest input is what SHE puts in. Without that the rest is pointless. Parents should really watch THEIR OWN kids and ask the hard questions

            1. Does she enjoy it ?
            2. Is she working hard ?
            3. Does she belong at this level ? Dont measure that vs the lowest level player on the team, but vs the best.

I think that at least half the kids i see in the ECNL and GDA would be better served not playing at that level. If Parents where honest we would have far fewer issues

I doubt they are going there other than to check it out. STA is WAY too far. STA sent every single NYSC player multiple emails inviting them to the DA tryouts. I'm sure a few went to check it out but I double any signed on.

but a lot of BS and politics at these so-called "developmental" academy elitist clubs. They concentrate on "developing" the players that get them recognition and take credit for them although they were already developed when they got there. On the pother hand, if they could actually develop the middle to lower portion of the team, then they have accomplished something and perhaps not have the merry go round. Isn't it better to develop the middle third and bottom third rather than trying bring in new players to replace them every year when they leave?

that is not our problem. you would get the better coaching you crave because you would have to be good to get clients. you would also get real competition on price etc..

Stop talking about this player. She is great. There are also others out there that are also great otherwise there'd be no other early selected recruits. Leave individual players out of your adult nonsense.

I dont need to. I dont think it matters one bit. The better question would be name me as many players you can over the last say 5 years from the NE who are or have been successful in College at a top soccer school or in the pros.

Making too much of what happens now is pretty pointless unless this is what you are aiming for.

dont agree with you here either. Early selection does not make a player great. Lets wait and see how it plays out. There are many early commits who flame out. Kids who made many YNT appearances as well. Im not saying any of the ones from around here will, lets just not rush to judge.

you are expecting Clubs to NOT do what makes them money. Wont happen. The only way to effect change is to be honest and have your kids play where they are getting the right emotional, physical, and mental "return" from your investment. If they are getting that then its money well spent.

Coaches tend to want to work with good players. Good players also tend to work hard and accept coaching. Thats how they become good. There is usually a reason kids are where they are on the scale and most often, it starts with the kid. Its just easier for parents to blame someone else.

stop taking all of this so personally. your posts make it seem you are making a case for mediocrity to justify your narrative. on paper is a term all are familiar with and on paper there are many other kids who have stats that make them seem likely to be successful later on in their athletic career should they choose too. sorry your kids stats don't get her name out like others but such is life. as you note, when the future comes to pass you can revisit your posts (you seem likely to harp on such things years after the fact) and gloat as needed.
