It is the most relevant thing, IMO. ECNL and their clubs have geographical dominance in these areas and market share advantage. They would never do anything to jeopardize that and working with USSF to be part of creating a top of the pyramid league, where each club has one team across 4 age groups would surely be a huge risk for them. Every other team at that club that does not participate in the top group would be a B teamer by default.

why would they. unless a Club met certain playing standards they would not be able to have atop team. so business as usual there. An not every person has the ability to just switch clubs at no cost.

They are the best at making money. The competitive level of the soccer is just a side effect. GDA saw this and tried to get in on it but they are very late to the party. If they had done it a decade ago, it would have been fine.

and so what if thats where they belong. Nothing stopping them making the top team if they improve.

Have been at this for a while. Players switch from club to club to club every year. Always have, always will.

Hello. People want to pay for the A team, not the B team.

im offering potential solutions to the problem. you seem stuck in what we have. funny thing is i read daily here threads about what is better. I guess the comments here suggest its all rubbish and not driven by making better players at all.

TALENT dictates the A team. people should be paying to improve.

yes at the margin, not at the core.

Whatever. That just is not is what is going on out here. You need to take a closer look at reality.

Core and margin get on and off the merry go round every year. Yes they do.

IMHO, the only solutions will come from financial incentives. Period. Right now, it looks the way it does because of the financial incentives.

Yes talent dictates A team. Just that the left overs will certainly move elsewhere. The clubs and league know this, so they're avoiding creating that situation. They know their business model and what people are willing to pay so much money and time for.

not true. players should leave clubs all the time until they find their level. people dont seem to get that leaving a good team in say the ECNL for a bad one in the GDA or vice versa is finding your level.
