Kaz is taking sometime off due to an illness. He expects to be back in a few months, by the spring season hopefully. I’m speaking from a firsthand conversation with him. His plans are to work with his players to find the right environment for them. He is continuing to work on their recruiting from home while he recouperates. You are talking about a man who has maintained unheard of contacts with most who have played for him. As one of his former players, I can tell you this man will walk thru fire for his players.

Also, for all who think there is a conflict between NYCFC and WC, I have been told from Kaz himself that that is the furthest from the truth. NYCFC at this time is re-evaluating relations with US Soccer for the boys and want to support their relationship with WC. Low tryouts for the GDA and strong WC teams in the younger age groups has made this decision easy. Please don’t make stuff up people. If NYCFC is offering you everything you want for your daughter, Kaz tells me you will get the same with WC

Finally, those people suggesting Clarkstown might offer what your looking for, please do yourself a favor and investigate the club a bit

I can’t speak to the Matchfit program and any issues it may have but this just demonstrates the merry-go-round of players and teams. You play for one, you can certainly (and likely will) play for another. No one club can take credit for any young lady’s development with so much constant shuffling or for having the best teams when the teams are all comprised of former players from their competitors. Parents / kids need to pick a program that works for them and stop worrying about what others are doing as likely at some point your former teammates will come back and re-join you.

so true. most just resign themselves to sticking with one horse on the carousel at some point. Some keep switching horses until the end. Then they all just grow up , exit the ride and the next crop of riders gets aboard. Round and round.

That’s because he is a good coach, and great recruiter, his entire team is practically committed and their all Juniors!

Uggg. Hate the early recruiting. So bad for 15 year olds to be making that decision at that age. Thought the rules were supposed to address that but I guess not. That is a bad system.

All of the back-and-forth about NYCFC GDA folding has to have some measure of truth. Seems very plausible considering the variables, weak league, low tryout numbers, and a safe place to land after the fact. I think that WCFC will field ECNL2 teams, u-14-u-19 next year, but the big nut is, who is going to the the A team, and the B team?? And who decides? There are Dad coaches at WC that will not accept their daughters being on the ECNL2 team, and that will be a whole other powder-keg, hahahahaha.

Yes but why not give it a better name? Thought the ECNL were better business people then that.
