But, if the rest of the world has caught up technically and you are using older players because the new ones aren't up to speed, eventually that will run out. Unless you are advocating bringing the same squad again...and again...and again.

Yes there are weaknesses in the younger groups but that can't be put entirely on the shoulders of ECNL. USSF is the one scouting, selecting and running NT programs. This didn't just sneak up on them. They could have acted much earlier and their solution (current GDA) isn't going to fix it.

We all know there are always exceptions the above statement are general averages.
Hopefully WNT can pull this off again, i think we are bringing the best team we can put together....we will see.

It would be cool if we had an overall organization tasked to find those best players from wherever they are so they could get them into the pipeline. Sadly, we have been left with an organization who did a terrible job of developing those players, who are trying everything in their power to discredit the organization who is trying do exactly what you are asking. Instead, they push wins at whatever age and think that's the cure-all.
